CHANDIGARH, 19.04.25-Thalassemic Charitable Trust (TCT) and Department of Transfusion Medicine PGIMER, Chandigarh organized its 312th Blood Donation Camp on 19.04.2025 in Patel Market, Sector 15 Chandigarh.
The camp was organised for patients of Thalassaemia who need life long blood transfusions after 15-20 days to keep optimum level of hemoglobin for survival. Hon’ble 67 Blood Donors donated blood out of 84 Registered voluntary blood donors.
The camp was inaugurated by Mrs Vibha Mittal, Executive Chairman, Thalassaemic Charitable Trust. Sh. Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary; Dr. Viney Sood, Finance Secretary; Sh. A.P. Singh, Sr. Vice President; Sh. Balraj Singh Gill, Vice-President and Sh. M.L. Gandhi, Executive Member of Thalassaemic Charitable Trust gave away gifts and blessed the blood donors. Mr. Vikas Makkar Member of this Trust also participated in management of the camp.
Sh Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary announced that the next Blood Donation Camp will be organized on 8th May 2025 in Blood Donation Complex, PGIMER Chandigarh, to celebrate World Thalassaemia Day. He requested all voluntary blood donor groups and individuals to make the camp a success. The details will be shared through social media and press notes in due course.
Mr. Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary of the Trust was main Coordinator of the camp. He thanked voluntary blood donors and emphasised the need for blood donation to save precious lives needing blood support.
