MAHENDERGARH, 06.03.26-The UGC–Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC), Central University of Haryana (CUH), successfully concluded its One-Month Online “Guru Dakshata” Faculty Induction Programme (4th FIP). The programme was conducted in online mode in accordance with the prescribed UGC–MMTTC guidelines. The programme was conducted under the visionary leadership of Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, CUH (Chief Patron), and the guidance of Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Patron). In his message, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, stated that the Guru Dakshata programme is highly beneficial for newly appointed teachers as it enables them to understand the higher education system and its ecosystem comprehensively. He emphasized that such structured academic training helps faculty members enhance the quality of teaching, learning, and research through innovative pedagogies and methods.
The valedictory ceremony was organized as per the scheduled minute-to-minute programme and began with a Welcome Address by Prof. Parmod Kumar, Director, UGC-MMTTC & Head, Department of Education, followed by the presentation of the Brief Report of the Programme by Prof. Tanu Gupta, Deputy Director, UGC-MMTTC & Head, Department of English & Foreign Languages. Participants shared their feedback, highlighting the academic rigor and relevance of the sessions. The ceremony also featured an address by the distinguished expert Prof. Kaushal Kishore, Department of Education Studies, Faculty of Education, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Parmod Kumar.
The 4th Faculty Induction Programme comprehensively covered all ten UGC–MMTTC prescribed modules, including: Roles and Responsibilities of Teachers; University Structure and Governance; Curriculum Design and Content Development; Pedagogic Techniques and Learner-Centric Methods; Assessment and Evaluation; Research Methodology and Innovation; ICT and E-Content Development; Indian Knowledge Systems and Multilingual Pedagogy; Inclusion and Diversity; and Human Rights, Environment and Sustainability .
A distinctive feature of this programme was the active academic engagement of the University’s senior leadership. The Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Finance Officer, Controller of Examinations, Deans, and Directors personally conducted sessions related to governance, administration, finance, examinations, and institutional quality. Their direct interaction provided participants with valuable insights into university functioning beyond classroom teaching. The programme included expert lectures, interactive discussions, reflective assignments, MCQ-based assessments, seminar presentations, and project work to ensure academic rigor and measurable learning outcomes. Eminent academicians from reputed institutions delivered sessions on research in higher education, open educational resources, artificial intelligence in education, outcome-based curriculum design, innovation, entrepreneurship, and mental health and well-being.
Participants from various Higher Education Institutions across India actively engaged throughout the month-long academic exercise. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the programme’s relevance to NEP 2020 implementation, research ethics, digital transformation, and institutional governance.
