MAHENDERGARH,27.10.25-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, commenced the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week from October 27 to November 2, 2025, with the theme “Vigilance: A Shared Responsibility.” The week-long observance aims to promote the values of transparency, integrity, and good governance through a series of awareness and participatory activities within the university community.
The inaugural event was held on Monday, where Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, along with students, research scholars, faculty members, officers, and non-teaching staff, took the Integrity Pledge. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor emphasized that honesty and transparency are not merely administrative ideals buMahendergarht core values that define both individual and institutional identity. He inspired all participants to perform their duties with sincerity and responsibility, remarking that vigilance and integrity are the hallmarks of a strong and ethical society. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar also encouraged students to contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
On this occasion, Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor highlighted that vigilance and integrity are not just administrative duties but moral principles that form the foundation of institutional honesty. He also explained his view through various examples from European countries where people are honest for their duties. Under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, a Vigilance Awareness Rally was also organized on the campus. The rally began from Academic Block I and proceeded through Academic Blocks III & IV.
Prof. A.K. Yadav, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) administered the integrity pledge to all participants. He also informed that this year, the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has set the theme “Vigilance: A Shared Responsibility.” He added that under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, several awareness activities are being organized throughout the week to sensitize the university community and the general public against corruption. As part of the week’s observance, the university will also conduct special awareness camps in nearby villages and schools to promote ethical values and integrity among students and citizens. The event witnessed the presence of Deans of various Schools, Heads of Departments, Coordinators, Officers, faculty members, staff, students, and research scholars of the University.
