Mahendergarh, 07.10.25-The Department of Physics and Astrophysics at the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh celebrated the inauguration function TARANG 2025 on Tuesday, welcoming new students and launching the academic and cultural season at the Mini Auditorium, Academic Block 1.

The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Prof. Suneel Kumar, Registrar and Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Head, Department of Physics and Astrophysics, along with faculty and students. The function began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a warm welcome to dignitaries and attendees.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor highlighted the central role of physics in modern technological industries, offering semiconductor manufacturing as a prime example of how basic science fuels industrial growth and innovation.

Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pro-Vice Chancellor spoke about the need to balance technical knowledge with practical skill, emphasizing that this synergy is key to student success in a rapidly evolving world.

Prof. Suneel Kumar, Registrar urged students to use mobile phones in moderation, cautioning that while such technology can be a boon for learning and connectivity, excessive use can have negative consequences.

Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Head, Department of Physics and Astrophysics was commended for her mentorship of the Aavriti initiative and encouraged students to strive for achievements both in academics and extracurricular pursuits, underscoring the importance of all-round development.

The event featured spirited poetry, song, and cultural performances by students, setting an energetic and joyful tone for the academic year. The function concluded with a vote of thanks and celebration, with the Physics Association, under President Prof. Sunita Srivastava, looking forward to an exciting session ahead
