Chandigarh, September 21 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij strongly reacted to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent post on X (formerly Twitter) in which he described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a weak leader.
While interacting with media persons today, Sh. Anil Vij said that “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has restored India’s self-respect. He has forced Pakistan onto the back foot, and today, nations across the globe are eager to strengthen ties with India. Our economy now stands as the third largest in the world, and Indians are respected across the globe.”
Sh. Vij further remarked, “I have said this before and I will say it again – Rahul Gandhi is trapped in negativity and needs psychological treatment.”

Chandigarh, September 21 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that under the Seva Pakhwada initiative, new milestones of service are being set across the country. He emphasized that blood donation is the greatest donation of all, and every healthy individual must come forward to donate blood.
Sh. Vij was speaking as the Chief Guest at a blood donation camp organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party at Garhwal Dharamshala, Chandrapuri, Ambala Cantonment, as part of Seva Pakhwada. On this occasion, he pinned badges on donors to encourage them.
Highlighting the importance of voluntary blood donation, Sh. Vij said that “The only source of blood is the human body. On the occasion of the birthday of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Seva Pakhwada is being celebrated across the nation. Today, Shastri Mandal organized this blood donation camp with great success and enthusiastic public participation.” He further informed that 75 units of blood were collected during the camp and that tree plantation drives would also be conducted as part of the Seva Pakhwada activities.
Sh. Vij praised the blood donors and congratulated them for their noble service. “By donating blood, we not only support patients in need but can also save the life of an accident victim,” he said.

Chandigarh, September 21 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today reviewed the ongoing construction of the Azadi ki Pehli ladai ka Shaheed Smarak (Martyrs’ Memorial) dedicated to the First War of Independence of 1857. He inspected the site and directed officers and the executing agency to ensure early completion of the project.
The Smarak, being constructed at a cost of approximately Rs.600 crore, features multiple art galleries. During his visit, Sh Vij reviewed progress and praised the craftsmanship, noting that the artists have created powerful depictions that vividly bring the history of 1857 to life. He instructed that completed sections of the galleries be cleaned using machines to maintain high standards. While inspecting, he also appreciated the life-size statues installed at various points and personally interacted with the artisans, encouraging them in their work.
The galleries of the memorial portray key events of 1857, showcasing the attire of soldiers, freedom fighters, as well as weapons such as rifles used during that period.
The Minister also reviewed arrangements for ticketing, suggesting that instead of multiple categories, a single entry ticket should be issued for visitors. He directed officials to finalize the location of the ticket counters.
Sh. Vij discussed landscaping plans for the memorial grounds, emphasizing that vacant spaces should be developed with greenery and plantations. He appreciated the palm, rudraksha, and other plants already placed, and instructed that additional plantation and landscaping at the rear portion of the memorial be completed at the earliest.
Drone Presentation and Future Plans
Following the inspection, Minister Vij chaired a meeting with officials where he viewed a drone video presentation of the memorial. He held detailed discussions on several aspects, including historical representations, audio-visual presentations, completion of the 23 planned galleries, projector shows at the open-air theatre, and strategies to make the memorial self-sustainable in terms of revenue.
The inspection was attended by PWD Executive Engineer Ritesh Agarwal along with other senior officials.

Chandigarh, September 21 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister, Sh.Anil Vij said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the nation is advancing rapidly on the path of self-reliance and firmly establishing itself as one of the world’s leading economies.
Responding to questions from the media persons this evening, Sh. Vij praised the Prime Minister’s address to the nation delivered earlier in the day. He said that “For the first time, the government has simplified and made the tax system as transparent as GST. Earlier, governments would burden the common people by constantly raising taxes or imposing new ones. But Prime Minister Modi’s government has taken a historic step by reducing taxes and exempting several items from taxation altogether.”
Shri Vij further highlighted that income up to Rs.12 lakh will now be tax-free. This relief in income tax, coupled with reductions in GST rates, will bring significant benefits to the public.
He added that lower GST rates, along with the momentum of the Make in India initiative, will boost trade, create new employment opportunities, and encourage the establishment of new industries. “Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership, the journey towards realizing the goal of a Developed India by 2047 will now move forward at the speed of a bullet train,” he remarked.
