Chandigarh, 10 August – Haryana’s Energy, Transport & Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that on 13 August, a grand ‘Tiranga Yatra’ will be taken out in Ambala Cantonment in which people will participate in large numbers. He also appealed that under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme, the Tricolour should be hoisted at the highest point of every home, and this call should be made in every lane and locality. Sh. Vij said that on 14 August, ‘Vibhaajan Vibheeshika Smrti Divas’ will be observed across the country, and a State-level programme will be held in Faridabad where a large number of people from Ambala Cantonment will participate.

This Tiranga Yatra will start at 11:00 am from Agrawal Dharamshala, passing through Railway Road, Sadar Chowk, Sabzi Mandi, Pul Chameli, Kesra Bazar, Kabadi Bazar, and Government College, and will conclude back at Agrawal Dharamshala. He urged the workers/people to ensure maximum participation in the Yatra and to accompany it till the very end.

Sh, Vij was addressing a large gathering of workers/people at Lord Mahavir Jain Public School, Ambala, regarding preparations for various programmes being organised to mark Independence Day.

He said that 15 August is important because it is the day we gained independence. Many programmes will be organised by the organisation on this occasion, including the Tiranga Yatra on 13 August in Ambala Cantonment to fill the region with the spirit of nationalism. “We will take out this Yatra with full strength,” he said. He further added that as per party organisation, upcoming programmes have been scheduled and the large turnout today has boosted morale even further. “Our air, water, and oxygen are our workers, and it is because of this oxygen that we gather the courage to work from morning till evening,” he asserted.

*Appeal – Under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” programme, hoist the Tricolour at the highest point of your home – Vij*

Sh. Vij reiterated that under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme, the national flag should be hoisted at the highest point of every home, and workers should appeal in every lane and locality for all houses to hoist the flag. He said that on Independence Day, the Hon’ble Governor will be coming to Ambala and workers/people should participate enthusiastically in that programme as well. As in previous years, the Tricolour will be hoiest in front of Subhash Park, and this time the Chairperson of the Municipal Council will do the honours. *Entire nation to observe 14 August as “Vibhaajan Vibheeshika Smrti Divas” – Vij*

He said that BJP will observe Vibhaajan Vibheeshika Smrti Divas across the country on 14 August. A State-level programme will be held in Faridabad where a large number of workers from Ambala Cantonment will participate. He criticised the Congress, saying they tore apart the heart of Mother India, leaving her bleeding. Due to the partition, people suffered for years, and many lost their lives – all due to Congress’s short-sightedness. Jawaharlal Nehru was in a hurry to become Prime Minister while the nation was bleeding. People trusted certain leaders at that time, but that trust was broken.

*Partition happened while Mahatma Gandhi was alive, people’s trust was broken– Vij*

Sh. Vij said that nowhere in the freedom struggle’s agenda was it written that the country would be divided. Yet it happened, and millions lost their lives. This partition was along religious lines. Congress members signed the partition proposal, agreeing that Hindus and Muslims could not live together, leading to the division of the country. Although Mahatma Gandhi had once said that partition would happen over his dead body, people trusted him to prevent it. But partition occurred, and people were abandoned to their fate. Congress had no plan for the aftermath. Riots broke out, women were assaulted, and nearly 10 lakh people lost their lives.

*We will give our lives for the organisation but will not allow anyone to break it – Vij*

Sh. Vij said that in Ambala Cantonment, some people are conspiring to break the organisation, but dedicated party workers should not react emotionally and must not give any reply. We must continue our party work, maintain our balance, and not allow the opposition to succeed. Time will hold everyone accountable. “We believe in our strength; many have come and gone, but no one could break us, nor will anyone be able to. We will give our lives for the BJP, but we will not allow anyone to break the party. We must maintain our unity, he zestly added.”

On this occasion, Municipal Council Chairperson Swarn Kaur, Vice Chairperson Lalta Prasad, Mandal President Ravi Buddhiraja, Harsh Bindra, Pravesh Sharma, along with BJP leaders Sanjeev Soni, Vijender Chauhan, Surender Bindra, B.S. Bindra, Rambabu Yadav, Ashish Aggarwal, Madanlal Sharma, Pramod Lucky, Ajay Baveja, Puneet Sarpal, Fakirchand Saini, Tarvinder Singh, Bharat Kochhar, and a large number of BJP workers were present.
