Chandigarh, 23 May: The Placement Cell of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, in collaboration with the Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED), Chandigarh, successfully conducted a three-month professional training course in Tally, aimed at enhancing the employability skills of its students. This initiative, offered free of cost, was exclusively designed for final-year students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across various disciplines. The course received an overwhelming response, with over 100 enthusiastic students registering to participate.
The comprehensive training not only equipped students with practical accounting skills but also opened doors to immediate employment opportunities. Notably, two participants secured placements as Customer Care Executives at Tele Performance Pvt. Ltd., Mohali, with an annual package of ₹2.88 lakh, immediately upon completion of the programme.
Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma commended the collaborative effort, stating that this initiative reflects the institution’s ongoing commitment to student success and career readiness. She added that the college continues to champion such initiatives that bridge academic learning with real-world application, fostering a culture of practical education and employability.
