Jalandhar, 05.05.25-, Amidst the ongoing fashion extravaganza at Lovely Professional University (LPU), the State Finale of the Indian Couture League Season 2, organized by the World Designing Forum on 5th may, 2025, unfolded as a breathtaking homage to India’s handloom legacy and cultural richness. Featuring collections from over 15 celebrated and emerging designers, the event transformed the runway into a vibrant canvas of heritage, sustainability, and modern couture. Each ensemble echoed the spirit of the "Make in India" and "Vocal for Local" campaigns redefining India’s global fashion narrative through indigenous textiles and timeless artistry.

LPU’s School of Fashion Design students played a pivotal role; taking on responsibilities as models, stylists, and backstage coordinators. Their immersive involvement offered hands-on experience within the fashion ecosystem, turning the event into more than just a showcase to a learning laboratory that bridged academia with industry.

The event curated by Mr. Ankush Anami, Founder & CEO of the World Designing Forum, seamlessly blended innovation with tradition. It was more than a celebration of couture, it was a powerful movement spotlighting Indian handloom as the soul of high fashion. Designers including Monika Gawali, Mahi, Nidhi Kumar, Jasvinder, Nikita, Vaishnavi, Neha Parmar, Vishal Manhas, Vishakha Mali, Anuraddha, Sukrit Yadav, Satyam, Tanya, and Amit unveiled collections that narrated stories of India’s roots and its contemporary aspirations.
