Chandigarh, 13^th September– The Consumers Association Chandigarh today elected its new Executive Committee in a meeting held at Karuna Sadan, Sector 11-B, Chandigarh.

The newly elected office-bearers are:

Chiarman: Ar. S.D. Singh

• Vice Chairman : S. D.S.Virdi
• Secretary General: Sh. N.K. Jhingan
• Assistant Secretary: Sh. Rattan Singh Walia
• Organizing Secretary: Ms. Anju
• Treasurer: Sh. H.S. Bhalla
• Legal Advisor: Adv. Bhupinder Singh Gill

The Association, established in 1979, has twice been honoured with the National Award by the Government of India for its outstanding contribution to consumer awareness. The new Executive Committee has resolved to continue its mission of protecting consumer rights by offering free guidance and support to consumers facing grievances.

The Association will:

Guide consumers in resolving disputes without charging any fee.

Take up matters with the opposite party to seek amicable solutions.

Assist consumers in filing cases before Consumer Commissions under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, without requiring engagement of advocates.
