CHANDIGARH,10.09.25-Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, President of the National Human Rights Social Justice Council of India, Chandigarh, along with the members of the Human Rights Council, expresses heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for his exemplary leadership and commitment to humanity.
Today, the Prime Minister conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas in Punjab and assessed the ground situation. He also held a review meeting in Gurdaspur to discuss relief and rehabilitation measures. The Hon’ble Prime Minister announced a special financial assistance package of ₹1,500 crore for Himachal Pradesh to support relief and rehabilitation efforts and ₹1,600 crore for Punjab, along with an ex-gratia compensation of ₹2 lakh for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister assured that all possible support would be extended to the affected families, farmers, students, and orphans through comprehensive and multi-faceted government schemes. We, the members of the Council, sincerely thank the Hon’ble Prime Minister for his sensitive, compassionate, and far-sighted approach in addressing the plight of the flood-affected people of Punjab.
