Chandigarh ,11th Spet 2025,A delegation of the National Human Rights & Social Justice Council of India, Chandigarh, comprising Kamaljit Singh Panchhi (President), Anil Vohra (Chairman), Rajat Malhotra (General Secretary), and Tarlok Singh (Advisor), met Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, to seek support for Vatika Special School, Sector 19-B, Chandigarh, which is dedicated to the education, rehabilitation, and empowerment of deaf and daum students.
The delegation referred to the Hon’ble Administrator’s earlier generous initiative, under which ₹20 lakh was sanctioned from the Governor’s Special Fund for the development of a Dark Room Lab at Patiala’s Vaani School for the Hearing Impaired. Inspired by this noble effort, the delegation requested similar support for Vatika Special School, which continues to serve children with special needs despite operating under limited resources.
In response, the Hon’ble Administrator assured the delegation that he would personally plan a visit to the school and provide the best possible financial assistance and in-kind support, aimed at strengthening its infrastructure and services for the welfare of these deserving students.
