Chandigarh, September 24:- Continuing its efforts to maintain cleanliness and ensure compliance with civic sanitation norms, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) issued 8 challans for littering at various locations across the city on September 24, 2026.

The enforcement action was carried out in different wards and areas, including Village Daria, Village Makhan Majra, Mauli Complex, Sector 10, Sector 6, Sector 17 and Sector 26.
The challans were issued against individuals found violating cleanliness norms at public places. The enforcement teams also documented the violations through photographs and issued challans at the respective locations.

The MCC reiterated that littering in public places is not acceptable and appealed to residents, shopkeepers and visitors to dispose of waste properly and use designated waste bins.

The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh said that such enforcement drives will continue across the city to promote responsible civic behaviour and strengthen the cleanliness efforts under the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.

MCC appealed to citizens to keep Chandigarh clean and contribute towards building a cleaner and healthier city.
