Tarn Taran/Chandigarh, October 29: BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha State President S.R. Ladhar, State Vice President Paramjit Singh Kainth, District President Avtar Singh, General Secretary Harjit Singh, Vicky Rai, Jasvir Singh, K.P. Rana, Raj Singh, etc. attended a meeting in village Khara in the Tarn Taran Assembly constituency of BJP candidate Harjit Singh Sandhu.

Addressing the meeting, State Vice President Paramjit Singh Kainth said that the central government is committed to raising the living standards of farmers and laborers. The Narendra Modi-led central government is ensuring that farmers receive subsidized fertilizers without any hassles, and thousands of farmers in Punjab are benefiting from the Kisan Nidhi Yojana. Welfare schemes for the poor are being implemented, benefiting millions of poor families. He appealed to the villagers to vote for BJP candidate Harjit Singh Sandhu, saying that this election will play a crucial role in their lives and strengthen the party.

The party led by Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has failed to provide respect and representation in the Rajya Sabha to the Scheduled Caste community in Punjab, the state with the largest Dalit population, which constitutes 35 percent of the Dalit population. Its true character towards Dalits has been exposed. Sardar Kanth said that Punjab has seven Rajya Sabha seats, and not a single one has been allocated to the Scheduled Castes. The Aam Aadmi Party has betrayed them by not giving them a share.
