Eight persons arrested in Gambling Act
A Case FIR No. 83 u/s 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station Manimajra on the complaint of HC Jagminder Singh (No. 595/CP) against Kamal S/o Ganpat Rai R/o #1216, Murti Wali Gali, Mori Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh, age 44 years; Sahjad S/o Vakil R/o #1248, Murti Wali Gali, Mori Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh, age 44 years; Ghan Shyam S/o Raj Bahadur R/o #1435, Rajiv Colony, Sector 17, Panchkula (Haryana), age 50 years; Rajat S/o Bittu R/o #1067, Govindpura, Manimajra, age 30 years; Manoj Kumar S/o Babu Ram R/o #1176, Mori Gate, Manimajra, Chandigarh, age 44 years; Naheem S/o Saleem R/o near Govt. School, Village Devinagar, Sector 3, Panchkula (Haryana), age 29 years; Sahjad Ali @ Tahid S/o Shokat Ali R/o #465, Charan Singh Colony, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, age 43 years; and Mohammad Akram S/o Afsar Hussain R/o Village Devinagar, Sector 3, Panchkula (Haryana), age 30 years. The accused were arrested on 10.10.2025 from Murti Wali Gali, Mori Gate, Manimajra while indulging in gambling activities. Police recovered cash amounting to ₹41,790 from their possession. All accused were arrested and later released on bail.
Action against Disobeying the orders of DM
A Case FIR No. 36 u/s 205, 288 BNS & 9/B(1)(b) Explosive Act, 1884 has been registered at Police Station Sector 36, Chandigarh on the complaint of HC Satyapal Singh (No. 1672/CP) against Bajrang Goyal S/o Late Shiv Narayan Goyal R/o #1289, Sector 42, Chandigarh, age 50 years. The accused was found selling illegal firecrackers from his residence on 10.10.2025. The police recovered illegal stock of firecrackers from the premises. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
Cyber cheating
A Case FIR No. 123 u/s 318(4), 319(2), 61(2) BNS, 2023 has been registered at Cyber Crime Police Station, Chandigarh on the complaint of Manish Grover S/o Late Ramesh Grover R/o #2157, Sector 35-C, Chandigarh against unknown persons. The complainant reported that certain fake, morphed, and AI-generated videos were deliberately created and circulated on social media platforms with the malicious intent to defame Acharya Manish Ji, mislead the public, damage his reputation, and obstruct the functioning of his organization, Jeena Sikho Lifecare Ltd. Investigation of the case is in progress.
