*"Commenting on MPs and ministers who presented India's stance on Operation Sindoor before the world is disrespectful"- Vij*
Chandigarh, July 22: Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij, responding to the resignation of India’s Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, said that “Sh. Jagdeep Dhankhar has made it very clear that he is resigning due to health reasons.” Recalling his familiarity with him, Sh. Vij said that “I know Sh. Dhankhar personally—he is a very straightforward person, while the job of the opposition is simply to blow things out of proportion.”
Sh. Vij was answering questions asked by media persons regarding the opposition raising issues around the Vice President’s resignation.
*On SIR (Special Intensive Revision) ahead of Bihar elections, Minister Anil Vij says: "Why is the opposition defending those who are not voters?"*
Responding to opposition allegations that the SIR process ahead of the Bihar elections is disenfranchising the poor, Cabinet Minister Anil Vij said the opposition first complains about bogus and fraudulent votes, and now, when the Election Commission is verifying the voter list, they are still upset. "They should welcome this verification process," he said. “Why is the opposition defending those who are not even voters?” he questioned.
*"The Constitution gives us the right to practice and follow our religion"- Vij*
Responding to a controversial statement by a Samajwadi Party MLA from Sambhal who said that there are more thugs than devotees in the Kanwar Yatra, Energy Minister Anil Vij said that “There are some elements in this country who always find fault in our religious practices, ceremonies, and traditions. They need to correct their mindset. The Constitution gives us the right to practice and follow our own religion.”
*"It is disrespectful to comment on MPs and ministers who presented India's view on Operation Sindoor to the world"-Vij*
Regarding a statement by a Congress MLA in the context of Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam terror attack, who claimed that MPs went abroad as international tourists under PM Modi’s plan, Anil Vij hit back strongly and said that “The people who went were legitimate MPs and ministers. To say they had no standing is highly disrespectful. They represented India’s viewpoint to the world, presented our perspective on the conflict, shared the truth of the situation, and exposed Pakistan's false propaganda. To call this 'Modi’s brainchild' in a derogatory way is extremely insulting.”
On Akhilesh Yadav’s demand for a statement in Parliament regarding the attack, Anil Vij responded that “When has the government refused? The government is ready to respond to everything, but the opposition must speak in the House. Our party president JP Nadda has said we want to share everything. So, what exactly is troubling the opposition—knowing the truth or not knowing it?”
