CM enquires well-being of Astha Agnihotri
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today enquired the well-being of Astha Agnihotri, daughter of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, who sustained injuries recently.
He wished her a speedy recovery.

CM virtually reviews development projects in Hamirpur
SHIMLA -19th May, 2025-Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today virtually presided over a meeting with district officers of Hamirpur from Shimla to review the progress of various developmental projects in the district. He directed the officials to expedite ongoing works to ensure their timely completion.
The Chief Minister instructed the district administration to identify suitable land for establishing cow sanctuaries to address the issue of stray animals and provide relief to the farmers. He also emphasized the need to identify sites for setting up e-vehicle charging stations along the Hamirpur-Ghumarwin, Nadaun-Amb, and Bhota-Una roads. He said the state government was committed to promoting electric vehicles as a step towards environmental conservation and was actively working to strengthen related infrastructure.
The Chief Minister further directed the authorities to accelerate the implementation of the eco-tourism project at Hareta Gram Panchayat in Nadaun block, being developed at a cost of Rs. 7 crore. The project aims to boost tourism in the area by developing basic amenities, grasslands, tree houses for night camping, walking and nature trails, a cafeteria and a children’s park.
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh attended the meeting in Shimla, while Deputy Commissioner Hamirpur Amarjeet Singh and other senior officers participated virtually from Hamirpur.

H.P. Cabinet Decisions
SHIMLA-19th May, 2025-The State Cabinet in its meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, approved the Pashu Mitra Policy-2025. Under this policy, 1,000 posts of Multi-Task Workers (Pashu Mitras) will be filled in the Animal Husbandry department.
It okayed filling-up of 100 posts of Junior Office Assistant (Library) in the Education department to ensure smooth functioning of the school libraries.
Additionally, it approved the creation of 10 posts of Senior Assistant and 15 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) in the Revenue Department.
The Cabinet also gave its nod to fill five posts of various categories in the H.P. State Transport Appellate Tribunal, Hamirpur.
It decided to fill up five posts of Ayurvedic Pharmacy Officer on batch-wise basis in Ayush department.
It gave its nod to enhance the fodder grant for Gauvansh kept in Gausadans across the state from Rs. 700 per cattle per month to Rs. 1200.
The Cabinet approved an increase in the monthly honorarium of Operation Theatre Assistants from Rs. 17,820 to Rs. 25,000 and for Radiographers and X-Ray Technicians from Rs. 13,100 to Rs. 25,000.
It approved Mukhya Mantri Green Adoption Yojna for plantations on degraded forest lands by private entrepreneurs under CSR to increase the actual forest areas in the State.
It okayed amendments to the Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Rules, 2014 to restrict the construction of buildings on the valley side in Municipal Corporation, Shimla. As per the new provision, such constructions must be at least one meter below road level, aiming to preserve the valley’s aesthetic appeal for visitors.
It also decided to bring the adjoining forest area of Mata Tara Devi Temple in Shimla district under the green area of the Shimla Development Plan to ensure sustainable development in the region.
It also gave its approval for framing comprehensive guidelines on hiring e-taxis under Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Start-Up Yojna-2023.
The Cabinet put its seal to merge the design wing with the civil wing in the H.P. Public Works Department to streamline the department’s functioning and improve operational efficiency.
It also gave its approval to rename the veterinary dispensary Sarahan as veterinary dispensary Baga Sarahan in the Nirmand development block of Kullu district.

CM assures considering demands of drivers and cleaners
SHIMLA-19th May, 2025A delegation of the Himachal Pradesh Government and Semi-Government Drivers and Cleaners Federation called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today and apprised him of their various demands.
The Chief Minister assured the delegation that the government would consider their demands sympathetically and take appropriate action.
