Mahendergarh, 26 May, 2023.-A one-day seminar focused on 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam-Ideas, Features and Present' was organized by Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Cell at Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh on Friday.
The Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha Prof. Rajneesh Kumar Shukla was the chief guest in the event and social activist Mr. Sharad Jayshree Kamlakar Chavan were present as guest of honour while Dr. Harit Kumar Meena, Associate Professor, Central University of Punjab, addressed the seminar as the keynote speaker. The seminar was presided over by Vice-Chancellor of CUH Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar.
Dr. Rajendra Prasad Meena, Nodal Officer of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Cell, welcomed the guests and apprised them about the outline of the program. Keynote speaker Dr. Harit Kumar Meena said that we have to understand the Vedic literature of India to understand the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. India has always been incomparable and India has always given the mantra of uniting everyone together for the welfare of the world. Shri Sharad Jayshree Kamlakar Chavan said that Indian civilization has always been prosperous on the front of study, thinking and innovation. The sense of belongingness is always seen in the developed Indian civilization on the banks of the river. These traditional cultural values feed the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. Prof. Rajneesh Shukla, highlighting the development of Indian civilization and its importance, said that since ancient times, India has been establishing its own separate identity with the sense of world brotherhood. The name of the Nile river is derived from its association with India. Similarly, looking at the known human history, India is the only country which provided new technology to the whole world. Referring to the Corona period, Prof. Rajneesh Shukla said that the way we not only worked to make ourselves safe and self-sufficient in this time of crisis, but also provided help to save the whole world from this epidemic. Indian nature itself carries the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumkam and we are moving ahead with the resolve to make the whole world the best.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that knowing India's history, we should be proud of it and with this mantra we can play an active part in building a new India. The Vice Chancellor urged the youth to actively contribute in this endeavour. At the end of the event, the cell's co-coordinator Dr. Shriram Pandey expressed gratitude to all the participants, teachers, students and research scholars. On this occasion, the first woman of the University, Prof. Sunita Srivastava, Prof. Nand Kishore, Prof. Bir Pal Singh Yadav, Dr. Vidyulatha Reddy, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Vikas Siwach etc were present.
