One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Mewa Ram R/o # 954-B, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh (Age-54 years) and recovered 1 Kg 700gm Ganja from his possession near Public Toilet, turn Sector-22A/B, Chandigarh on 20.03.2023. A case FIR No. 38 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel/Assault

A case FIR No. 48, U/S 341, 323, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kunal R/o # 3683, Sector-25, Chandigarh who alleged that Anuj @ Khan, Anna and 2-3 other persons assaulted complainant with sharp weapon near PU Gate No. 2, Sector 14, Chandigarh on 20.03.2023. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted to PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 24, U/S 420 has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh on the complaint of Darsan Lal R/o Village Raison, Tehsil Nigdhu, Distt. Karnal (HR) who alleged that Ankit Singh R/o # 2081, Guru Nanak Vihar, Sector-48C, Chandigarh cheated Rs. 23 lakh from complainant on pretext of sending his son to abroad (Canada) between 06.06.2022 to 13.02.2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.
