Chandigarh, November 30- President Smt. Droupadi Murmu today was all praise for the daughters of Haryana for presenting the best examples of women empowerment for the entire country.

The President, who is on a two-day tour in Haryana, today interacted directly with the doctors, ASHA workers, and ANMs associated with State’s revolutionary Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign.

The President also interacted with women sportspersons of the State during a programme organized at Haryana Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh today. Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal graced the occasion.

The President said that daughters are the embodiment of power. Every family should cooperate in taking daughters forward in every field so that they become empowered and continue to increase their contribution in every field. The way the daughters of Haryana have raised the pride of their families and state on the global stage in the sports field is one of the best examples of women empowerment, added the President.

“If men and women walk together, then the family, society and country will progress. However, women face more challenges in their life than men, so it is the responsibility of the family, society and government to nurture and empower the girl child,” said the President.

She praised the Governor and the Chief Minister for the successful implementation of the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign in Haryana and hoped that Haryana will continue to boost the morale of the State daughters by taking such revolutionary steps.

While interacting with the ASHA workers, doctors and sportspersons, the President said that she feels happy to share experiences with them.

While appreciating Haryana for making Beti Bachao Beti Padhao a success, the President said that the State Government had done a commendable job in saving the lives of every girl by making spreading awareness about female feticide at the grassroot level. She also hoped that the Manohar Lal government will continue taking such pioneering steps to give love and affection to its daughters.

Sharing his experience related to the implementation of the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign and the difficulties faced during this, a doctor apprised the President that in the year 2015, Prime Minister had started this campaign from Panipat and later the Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal had formed a separate cell for this successful implementation of this campaign at the grassroot levels.

He further shared that it is only because of the stringent steps taken by the Manohar Lal-led government against the gender determination tests, such illegal activities have been curbed to a larger extent. ‘Manohar Sarkar’ did what nobody ever thought of doing, said the doctor.

Echoing the same sentiments, another doctor told that earlier no strict action was taken on the ultrasound centres which conducted gender determination tests, but because of the stringent steps taken by the Chief Minister for the first time people conducting gender determination in an ultrasound centre in Jhajjar were arrested.

Similarly, abortion done through midwives in the villages was also stopped after strict action was also ensured against them. Through all these steps, a clear message was given that now this type of heinous act will not be allowed in Haryana, said the doctor.

Sharing her experience an ASHA worker told the President how she has been associated with the campaign since 2015 and has remained a part of 19 sex determination raids conducted across the State.

Women sportspersons should be the brand ambassadors of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign

The President also interacted directly with women sportspersons and learned about their life experiences. During this, mountaineer Anita Kundu from Hisar district, who hoisted the tricolour three times on Mount Everest and the highest peaks of the seven continents, shared her life experiences. She told how her mother supported her after her father's death and today achieved this height today. Haryana government also gave full support to her. Similarly, Pooja Sihag and Suchika also shared their success stories.

The President said that Chief Minister should ensure that whenever the team o Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign visits to make a family aware then it should also be ensured that such families should meet eminent women sportspersons so that they can be made to believe that daughters are pride, not a burden.

International Gita Mahotsav exhibition becomes a popular attraction

23 panels in the exhibition showcasing the context of Gita, Haryana's contribution in the freedom struggle

Chandigarh, November 30 – The Haryana State exhibition at Purushottam Pura Bagh, Kurukshetra at the International Gita Mahotsav has become the centre of popular attraction. The exhibition was inaugurated on November 29, 2022 by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal

In the exhibition Haryana's contribution in the freedom struggle has been showcased through 23 panels. Along with this, glorious achievements of the Haryana government's 8-year tenure have also been shown.

A large number of people are visiting the exhibition everyday. This exhibition has been organized by the Information, Public Relations and Languages Department.

27 stalls have also been set up in the exhibition, in which 29 departments are disseminating information about various schemes, projects and facilities of Haryana government to the public. The exhibition has been given a grand appearance due to which every person reaching here is mesmerized by its charm and are taking selfies for capturing memories. A copy of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita has been installed in the middle of the hall of the State Exhibition.

Information about pilgrimages of 48 Kos has been given in the corridor of Haryana State Exhibition. These pilgrimages have been displayed with attractive photos and extensive details about various sites. People reaching this exhibition are getting information in this regard. Along with this, the efforts of Haryana Government and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal to promote pilgrimage in Kurukshetra have been shown. In this, the visits of the Chief Minister to Kurukshetra from time to time, his visits to pilgrims, the financial assistance given by the Haryana government, the announcements of the government have been duly informed.

Exhibition of 29 departments is organized

Exhibitions of 29 departments have been organized by the Information, Public Relations and Languages Department. In this, Fisheries Department, Women and Child Development Department, Archeology and Museum Department, Health Department, Micro Irrigation and Common Area Development Authority, Haryana Pond and Waste Water Management Authority, Driishya, Haryana Space Applications Centre, New and Renewable Energy Department, Haryana Tourism Corporation Limited, Archives, Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Haryana State Council of Science and Technology, Forest Department, Haryana Khadi Village Industries Board, Horticulture Department, Agriculture Department, HAFED etc. are mainly involved. Chandigarh, November 30 – Haryana Government led by the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is committed to uplift the villages of the state. Besides making concrete efforts to resolve issues of villagers at the village level, the state government is committed to deliver welfare schemes at the doorsteps. The live example of such constructive efforts of the state government was seen today when the Chief Minister was interacting with the Gram Sanrakshaks through audio conferencing under the ‘Gram Sanrakshak Samvad’ Programme.

The Chief Minister interacted with thousands of Gram Sanrakshaks across the state through audio-conference from his residence today. Under the ‘Haryana Panchayat Sanrakshak Yojana -2021', Class-I officers serving in various departments were nominated as Gram Sanrakshak, wherein the officers will ensure to resolve the problems of the villagers and ensure the holistic development of the village adopted by them.

Administer oath to the elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions on December 3, 2022

Sh. Manohar Lal directed the Gram Sanrakshaks that they must reach their respective allotted villages on December 3, 2022 and they will administer oath to the elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions. Apart from this, they will also cooperate in the making and distribution of Chirayu cards on December 10, 2022.

The Chief Minister further said that in the first week of every month, he will communicate with the Gram Sanrakshaks so that their feedback on assigned tasks can be taken from them.

Constitute a committee of youth and social workers directs Chief Minister

While inspiring the Gram Sanrakshaks to extend their social service to the society, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that they should meet the sarpanch and other volunteers to discuss the core issues of the village allotted to them. He said that they must solve the problems of the villages by making proper coordination with the concerned departmental officers. During last time, while reviewing the work of verifying the income in Parivar Pehchan Patra, maintenance of parks and gymnasiums, maintenance of cremation grounds and anganwadis under Shiv Dham Vikas Yojana, the Chief Minister urged to form a committee of the youth, retired employees and officers of the concerned village so that they can participate in the work of social service.

The Chief Minister assigned four new tasks to the Gram Sanrakshaks

While infusing the spirit of social service among the Gram Sanrakshaks, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that work for the society is possible by extending efforts from heart. Assigning four new tasks, he said that Gram Sanrakshaks will also be evaluated on the basis of 8 assigned tasks. Gram Sanrakshaks will reach the village on December 3, 2022 to administer oath to the sarpanches and panches, and on December 10 to distribute the new Chirayu cards. They will also have to visit the senior secondary schools to review the utilization of the tablets given to the students and verify the income of 25 additional families in the village. The Chief Minister said that the assigned task of getting the Parivar Pehchan Patra completed should be done soon. He further directed to complete all eight tasks by the end of December and submit their report on the portal www.intraharyana.gov.in.

On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D.S Dhesi,, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Additional Principal Secretary and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal and other senior officers were also present.


Haryana government makes important changes in MBBS bond policy

Time limit of seven-year bond agreement reduced to five years

Bond amount reduced to 30 lakhs, girls to get 10 percent discount

Government to give contractual jobs to MBBS students within one year of completing studies

Chandigarh, November 30: Keeping in mind the demands of the MBBS students, the state government after a detailed discussion with them; has made several important changes in the issue related to the MBBS bond policy. With the new changes, the government has reduced the time limit of the seven-year bond agreement to five years; including postgraduate (PG) education in this time period, eventually making the time limit of the bond as two years.

Along with this, the previous bond amount of Rs 40 lakhs has now been reduced to Rs 30 lakhs and by deducting the fees from this; the amount will come up to about Rs 25 lakhs. It has also been decided to give 10 percent relaxation for girls, excluding the institutional fees. Moreover, it has been decided that in case of any untoward incident with a student studying MBBS, his family will not be bound to pay the bond amount. Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal had given these instructions for changes after a meeting with the students' delegation.

The state government has taken another important decision of providing a government job (contractual) to the MBBS students; within one year of completion of their studies. Also, in case of a student doing a private job after completing studies and getting a salary less than that given to a medical officer by the government; he will not have to pay the bond amount until his salary would be equal to that of the medical officer or more than that. In such a situation, the government will offer a contractual job to the student.

Notably, the Haryana government has launched several schemes like CHIRAYU, Ayushman Bharat and Nirogi Haryana, which have been started to provide the best health facilities to the people of the state. Along with this, medical colleges are being built in all the districts of the state and government hospitals are also being opened; for which the government will require a large number of doctors in the coming times.

Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government is moving forward with the aim of providing health facilities to every person, especially the needy. He said that during the tenure of the present government, there has been an increase in the number of medical colleges, dental colleges, homeopathic colleges and nursing colleges in the state. In 2014, there were seven medical colleges in the state and MBBS seats were only 700. During the tenure of the present government, six colleges were opened and today the number of MBBS seats has increased to 1,735, he added.

Sh. Manohar Lal said that the government has a plan to open medical colleges in every district. “Medical colleges are being built in various districts of the state. As soon as the construction work of these medical colleges is completed; 3,000 students will be given admission for MBBS,” he said, adding that the government has increased the MBBS seats and in future also these seats will be increased; so that the shortage of doctors can be met. He said that the state government aims to meet the target of posting one doctor per 1,000 population; as per the criteria set by the World Health Organisation.


In the first phase of "Nirogi Haryana" scheme, the facility of free intensive health check-up will be given to 98,13,214 members of 24,75,380 Antodaya families-Haryana Health Minister

Chandigarh, November 30- Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that in the first phase of "Nirogi Haryana'' scheme, the facility of free intensive health check-up will be given to 98,13,214 members of 24,75,380 Antyodaya families across the state.

Sh. Vij said that recently the “Nirogi Haryana” scheme was inaugurated by the President, Smt. Droupadi Murmu in the presence of Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya and the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal at the holy city Kurukshetra.

Sh. Vij said that in order to smoothly conduct intensive health check-up of the members of all these families, they have been divided into 6 categories according to age groups so that infectious and non-infectious diseases can be diagnosed on the basis of different age groups. Taking this step forward, the facility of more than 25 number of diagnostic tests have been given according to the age groups. Apart from this, if a person will be diagnosed with any disease during the health check-up, then all necessary tests and treatment will be done completely free of cost, he added.

The Health Minister said that to successfully implement the "Nirogi Haryana" scheme in the state, the participation of the Medical Education and Research, AYUSH, Women and Child Welfare, Education, Development and Panchayats Department has been ensured. To implement this scheme, 32 medical institutions have been identified in the first phase where all prescribed health tests and treatment will be done, he added.

Sh. Vij said that the "Nirogi Haryana" scheme is a unique initiative taken by the Haryana government, in which the state government is fully committed to provide excellent health care and top-notch health services to the citizens of the state.

It is worth mentioning that during the budget session 2022, the Chief Minister had announced to provide free intensive health check-up facility to Antyodaya families to make Haryana Nirogi.

In order to achieve the goal of 'complete consumer satisfaction', many ambitious programs have been started by the Nigam so that the problems of the consumers can be resolved expeditiously. The Members of the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (CGRF) of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam will make extensive visits in the month of December, 2022 for hearing grievances of the consumers and to entertain new complaints.

A spokesperson of the Nigam said here today that the proceedings of the CGRF will be held in Operation Circle, Kurukshetra on December 02, Op Circle Jhajjar on December 05, Op S/Division Kalka December 07, OP Circle, Ambala on December 09, OP Circle Kaithal on December 12, Op S/U Division Panipat on December 14, OP Division, Panchkula on December 16, OP Circle, Rohtak on December 19, OP Circle, Yamunanagar on December 21, OP Circle, Sonipat on December 23, OP Circle, Panipat on December 26, and OP Circle, Karnal on December 28 respectively. Except on field visit CGRF shall be available at Head Quarter from 9 am to 5 pm to hear the grievances of consumers visiting office.

He further stated that the CGRF shall take all grievances/complaints of consumers like billing problem, voltage complaints, problems in metering, disconnection and reconnection of power supply, interruptions, failure of power supply, efficiency, safety, reliability, noncompliance of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission orders etc. However, the cases of theft and unauthorized use of electricity, offences and penalties as specified under Section-126 and Section-135 to 139 of Electricity Act, accidents and inquiries as under Section- 161 of the Act would not be considered by the Forum.

The consumers can avail this opportunity for the redressal of their grievances.
