SHIMLA- 2 October, 2025-On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu paid obeisance at Shri Hanuman Temple, Jakhu, Shimla and prayed for the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of the State. He also lit the effigies of Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhkaran, symbolizing the triumph of truth and goodness over evil.

The Chief Minister said that Dussehra embodies the victory of virtue over vice and called upon the people to come together to root out the menace of drug abuse from society.

MLA Harish Janartha, Mayor Surinder Chauhan, Principal Advisor (Media) to Chief Minister Naresh Chauhan, Deputy Mayor Uma Kaushal, Vice Chairman HIMUDA Yashwant Chajatta, Councillors of the Municipal Corporation Shimla, OSD to Chief Minister Ritesh Kapret, representatives of various organizations, Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
