Amritsar, 1st October 2025-As part of its CSR commitment, State Bank of India handed over eco-friendly electric carts to the Border Security Force at the Attari-Wagah border, where the daily Beating Retreat ceremony between India and Pakistan draws thousands of patriotic visitors.

These electric carts will assist senior citizens, differently-abled persons and women attendees, helping them move comfortably across the large ceremonial grounds. These carts reflect the Bank’s commitment to public service, national pride and accessibility for all.

The handover function was held in the presence of Shri S.S. Chandel, DIG BSF, Shri Krishan Sharma, CGM SBI Chandigarh Circle, Shri Bam Shankar Mishra, DGM AO Ludhiana and Shri Satwinder Singh, RM Amritsar, along with other senior officials from BSF and SBI.

The initiative was warmly appreciated by BSF and reaffirmed Bank’s role as a trusted and caring partner beyond banking.
