Chandigarh, August 18 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, today said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has declared Maharashtra Governor and senior BJP leader C.P. Radhakrishnan as the NDA’s Vice Presidential candidate. He said that “Whenever C.P. Radhakrishnan served as a Member of Parliament, he performed his duties with utmost sincerity and efficiency. I am very happy that the BJP has announced his name for the Vice President’s post from the South, he said.”

Sh. Vij was responding to questions asked by the media persons today.

*If Rahul Gandhi has something to say, he should put it in writing – Vij*

On being asked about Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of voter list, to which the Election Commission held a press conference and demanded an affidavit from him, Sh. Vij said that

“When nothing like this has been reported either in the courts or in official records, how can such baseless claims be accepted? If Rahul Gandhi really has something concrete to say, he should write it down and submit it. Decisions can then be taken on record, not on casual, airy statements, he said.”

*Rahul Gandhi wants to make even non-issues into issues – Vij*

Reacting to the Election Commission’s statement that the PPT presented by Rahul Gandhi regarding voter fraud did not contain EC data, and that he should either file an affidavit or apologize to the nation, Sh. Vij said that “Rahul Gandhi is not following rules or due process. He wants to make even non-issues into big issues. His agenda is clear: if he wants to rule the country, he must keep raising questions on all constitutional institutions – sometimes on the ED, sometimes on the EC, and sometimes on others.”

On Tejashwi Yadav’s remark that the Election Commission and Prime Minister Modi are trying to “cheat Bihar”, Sh.Vij quipped that “If Tejashwi Yadav truly believes that, then he should remain silent. Since he knows that in Bihar people mix lime with khaini and chew it, he should ensure no one gets a chance to apply that ‘lime’ on them.”

*Pakistan has put itself up for sale – Vij*

On a question regarding Pakistan’s Army Chief claiming that Pakistan will soon reduce its debt and become one of the world’s prosperous societies, Sh. Vij mocked the statement saying that
“This simply means Pakistan has put itself up for sale. Just like street hawkers say ‘buy my brinjals, buy my potatoes’, Pakistan has now put itself on sale. Let us see who comes forward to buy it.”

*The Chief Minister himself is monitoring law and order situation – Vij*

Responding to former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s remark that law and order in Haryana has collapsed, Sh. Vij said that “Whatever the situation is, the Chief Minister himself is paying close attention to law and order situation.”
