Chandigarh, 14 August: In continuation of the Independence Week celebrations under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, the Departments of Music and Fine Arts of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, organised a series of creative and patriotic activities.

The Department of Music hosted a Patriotic Song Competition in both vocal and instrumental categories, where students performed with remarkable zeal and fervour, evoking deep feelings of pride and unity. Winners were honoured with certificates for their outstanding renditions. Complementing the musical fervour, the Department of Fine Arts conducted a Poster Making Competition-cum-Exhibition and a Tiranga-Inspired Art Competition. A total of 26 students showcased their creative flair, presenting thought-provoking and visually captivating works on patriotic themes.

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma commended the Departments for channelising the patriotic spirit of students through art and music. She congratulated the participants for their creativity and passion, stating that such activities instil a deep sense of national pride while nurturing cultural and artistic expression.
