Two arrested in snatching case
A Case FIR No. 50 u/s 304(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 49 on the complaint of a woman resident of Sector 49D, Chandigarh. She reported that on 29-07-2025 at around 6:00 PM, near the tubewell in CHB Flats, Sector 49D, two unknown Activa-borne assailants snatched her Motorola mobile phone. During investigation, the accused Satish Kumar, resident of Dhanova Dharm Kanta, Village Kandala, Distt. Mohali, aged 32 years and Anil Kumar @ Linda, resident of Village Jagatpura, Distt. Mohali, aged 25 years were arrested and are currently in police lockup.
One arrested under NDPS Act
A Case FIR No. 99 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Maloy. The accused Bobby, resident of Sector 38A, Chandigarh, aged 24 years, was apprehended near Petrol Pump, Sector 38 West, Chandigarh and 12.47 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
Two arrested in theft case
A Case FIR No. 80 u/s 303(2), 317(2) BNS & 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector 26 on the complaint of Bharat Singh, resident of BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh. He reported that his bicycle was stolen from SCO No. 34, Sector 7, Chandigarh on 01-08-2025 between 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Accused Vijay, resident of Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh, was arrested and a stolen cycle and a Kamanidar knife were recovered.
A Case FIR No. 155 u/s 305, 317(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station 31 on the complaint of Naresh Kuma, resident of Baltana, Zirakpur, Punjab. He reported that some copper wire and copper pipes from an AC unit were stolen from his Plot No. 326, Industrial Area, Phase-2, Chandigarh, along with chairs during the intervening night of 01/02-08-2025. During investigation, Shubham, r/o Colony No. 4, Industrial Area Phase-1, Chandigarh was arrested. He is currently in police lockup.
Two arrested for public drinking
A Case FIR No. 68 u/s 68-1(B) of PP Act and 355 BNS has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran against Mohamad Shadab, resident of Sector 17, Rajiv Colony, Panchkula, Haryana, aged 35 years, who was found publicly drinking and creating nuisance in a park near Mohan Sweets and MC tubewell, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 02-08-2025 at about 9:30 PM.
A Case FIR No. 165 u/s 68-1(B) PP Act & 355 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 36 against Bhupinder Singh, resident Sector 47C, Chandigarh, aged 38 years, who was arrested from Mandi Ground, Sector 52 on 02-08-2025 for drinking and creating nuisance in a public place.
Extortion
A Case FIR No. 122 u/s 308(2), 61, 127(2), 351(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 11 on the complaint of Gaurav Sharma, aged 35 years, r/o Sarangpur, Chandigarh.He was allegedly beaten and threatened by Manoj Kumar, resident of District Kaithal, Haryana, aged 32 years and Rajesh Kumar, resident of Custom Colony, Sector 37, Chandigarh, aged 30 years. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Assault
A Case FIR No. 123 u/s 115(2), 121(1), 132, 351(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 11 on the complaint of Vikrant, resident of District Jind, Haryana, aged 34 years. He alleged that he, his friend Sonu Chaudhary, and L/C Naveen (posted in PCR) were attacked and beaten by Kishore and Vinod @ Hanuman, both residents not known, near PGI on 02-08-2025 at about 11:30 AM. Vikrant sustained injuries and was admitted to GH-16. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Theft
A Case FIR No. 63 u/s 303(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Mani Majra on the complaint of Akash, resident of Jhuggi, backside Bank Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, aged 18 years. He reported that an unknown person stole his bicycle from Labour Chowk, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 28-07-2025 at around 12:00 PM. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 154 u/s 305 BNS has been registered at Police Station 31 on the complaint of Ashok Sachdeva, aged 66 years, resident of Sector 15, Panchkula. He reported theft of one Voltas AC outdoor unit, one fridge compressor, and three sewerage lids from his Plot No. 11, Industrial Area Phase-2, Chandigarh over the past two days. Investigation of this case is going on.
A Case FIR No. 118 u/s 305, 331(4), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 34 on the complaint of Yadwinder Singh, resident of Sector 32D, Chandigarh, aged 67 years. He alleged that two unknown boys stole ₹30,000 cash along with silver and gold jewellery from House No. 2350, Sector 44, belonging to his brother, between 13-07-2025 and 24-07-2025. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Cheating
A Case FIR No. 117 u/s 316(2), 318(4), 61(2) BNS & 24 Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station Sector 34 on the complaint of Harman Kaur, resident of SAS Nagar, Mohali, Punjab. She alleged that the owners of Blue Hills Immigration, SCO No. 363, 2nd Floor, Sector-44D, Chandigarh, cheated her of ₹8,80,000 by promising a work permit. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 119 u/s 316(2), 318(4) BNS & 24 Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station Sector 34 on the complaint of Parwinder Singh and others against Harpreet Singh, r/o Amritsar, Punjab. The accused, owner of Immigration Law Consultancy, SCO No. 58-59, Sector 34A, Chandigarh, allegedly cheated them of ₹7,40,000 for sending them abroad. Investigation of this case is in progress.

It is submitted that this case was registered on the complaint of ASI Satnam Singh No. 3197 in which he stated that on 2.8.2025 when he was on patrolling along with police party, he apprehended one person namely Bobby S/o Rajesh R/o # 579 sector 38-A, Chandigarh age 24 years near patrol pump sector 38 west Chandigarh and 12.47 gram Chitta (Heroin) has been recovered from his possession. Recovered chitta (Herion) has been taken into police possession through seizure memo.
