Chandigarh, August 1: Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said today that “There is no such thing as saffron terrorism in Hindustan, while our country has the ‘Blessings of Saffron.’” He said the stream of knowledge in the country flows only through the ‘Blessings of Saffron.’

Sh. Vij was responding to a question asked by media personnel in Chandigarh regarding saffron terrorism. It is noteworthy that Sh. Vij also posted today on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “bhaarat mein bhagava aatankavaad nahin hota bhagava aasheervaad hota hai . is desh mein gyaan kee ganga sadiyon se bhagavaadhaariyon ne hee bahaee hai . parantu kaangres ko to is sabase napharat hai . inako to din mein sona chaahie aur raat ko jaagana chaahie kyonki ugata hua sooraj bhee bhagava hota hai..”

The Energy Minister said there is no such thing as saffron terrorism in India, rather we have saffron blessings (Bhagwa Aashirwad). He said that the river of knowledge in our country flows through saffron blessings, and our saints and sages also wear saffron robes. Sh. Vij added that if Congress has objections to saffron, then its members should sleep during the day and stay awake at night, because when the sun rises, it is saffron in color. Therefore, Congress should sleep during the day and be awake at night.

Sh. Vij reminded that in 2008, the Congress termed the bom blast in Malegaon as saffron terrorism, whereas in India, there is no saffron terrorism but rather saffron blessings. He said Congress has always insulted the Hindu community just to please Pakistan. He added that first, Congress caused the death of 10 lakh (1 million) people and created Pakistan, and later during the partition of the Indus River, gave 20% of the water to India and 80% to Pakistan.

Taking a sharp jibe at Congress, he said that, “I believe Pakistan is the child of Congress, and there is always affection and love for one’s child.” He said that whether it was the Kargil War or the recent war between India and Pakistan or the surgical strikes, Congress has always taken Pakistan’s side and not India’s.

During the parliamentary debate on Operation Sindoor, the opposition did not take India’s side, while our soldiers brought Pakistan to its knees in just a few days, destroyed their airbases, decimated their air defense systems. Congress always makes statements to happay Pakistan, he said.

Chandigarh, August 1 – Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij regarding his tour across the state, said that "I will soon meet both new and old party workers from all districts around August 15, and I am forming a dedicated team to organize these meetings."

Sh. Vij was responding to media questions today in Chandigarh about his state-wide tour.

He said that "Party workers from every district in Haryana keep visiting me, asking me to come meet them—they want to invite me. So, I will soon meet all old and new workers from across districts around August 15." He added that "There are many senior workers from my time who want to meet me. I will also meet new workers, because it's important to get to know them as well."

Sh. Vij said that "I am a senior legislator from Haryana. I have won the assembly elections seven times, and no other elected MLA in the Bharatiya Janata Party has matched that. That’s why I will tour the whole of Haryana to strengthen the party’s work, and during this tour, I will not hold any separate programs elsewhere."

He said that "I will organize a schedule to meet workers, and the information will be shared with them. We will gather together for these meetings. If needed, I’ll visit some workers at their homes also."

In response to a question about Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala raising concerns about law and order in Haryana, Sh. Vij said that "Just like a child starts crying as soon as he wakes up in the morning, Surjewala ji starts speaking as soon as he wakes up. But the Chief Minister is keeping a close watch on the law and order situation and is making efforts to improve it."

Chandigarh, August 1 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that Union Defence Minister Sh. Rajnath Singh has given his consent for the inauguration of Ambala Cantonment Airport. The inauguration will take place as soon as the date is finalized. He informed that flights will initially operate from Ambala to Ayodhya, Lucknow, Jammu, and Srinagar.

Sh. Vij was responding to questions asked by the media persons in Chandigarh today.

He said that “The airport at Ambala Cantonment was made possible due to the support of Union Defence Minister Sh. Rajnath Singh, as land from the army was required for its construction. It was the Defence Minister who helped provide that land. Therefore, I had requested him to inaugurate the airport, since it has been built with his assistance.”

Sh. Vij also mentioned that the inauguration is being planned around August 15. Correspondence has been made with the Chief Minister of Haryana and the Union Defence Minister to fix a mutually agreeable date, as both dignitaries are required to be present. Once both confirm a date, the inauguration will be held and flight services will commence.

He added that officers and staff of the Civil Aviation Department have already been posted, and the airport infrastructure at Ambala Cantonment is almost ready. Ambala Cantonment is a significant station—it is a railway junction and is well-connected by roads from all directions. Ambala has direct connectivity to regions in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and other areas in Haryana. Additionally, it is directly linked to the science industries of Ambala, metal industries of Jagadhri and cities like Panipat and Gurugram. Hence, the airport is expected to be highly successful.

Sh. Vij further shared that he has received a letter from the Union Civil Aviation Minister approving three airlines for operations from the airport. Apart from these, other airlines have also shown interest and are seeking approval to start flights from Ambala Cantonment. According to the letter, flights from Ambala to Ayodhya, Lucknow, Jammu and Srinagar will commence.

In response to a question about initiating cargo services from Ambala Cantonment Airport, Sh. Vij said that he has written to Union Minister Sh. Manohar Lal, highlighting the demand from traders and delegations for a cargo airline service from Ambala. The runway at Ambala Cantonment is capable of handling even the largest aircraft, making it suitable for cargo operations.

He also mentioned that this airport will be the nearest cargo hub for dispatching industrial goods from Ambala’s science industries, Saha’s factories, the textile market of Ambala and apple produce from Himachal Pradesh. Therefore, there is strong potential for cargo services to succeed here. Land is also available and can be acquired for the same. Cargo operations are currently at a preliminary stage, and Sh. Vij is scheduled to meet the Union Minister soon regarding this matter.
