CHANDIGARH, 01.08.25-'Truth can be troubled, but not defeated', these words were uttered by former Municipal Councilor of Chandigarh Shakti Prakash Devshali while expressing happiness on the acquittal of all the seven accused including former BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya Thakur in the Malegaon blast case by the Special Court after more than a decade and a half.
Devshali said that terrorism was never saffron, is not and will never be in the future. Saffron has always been a symbol of sacrifice, simplicity and dedication. Congress tried to spread the lie of saffron terrorism in the country as part of its anti-Sanatan mentality and strategy to serve its political interests. 'Saffron terrorism' was a product of Congress' anti-Sanatan mentality. This decision of the Special Court is a tight slap on the face of those with such mentality and those who propagate false propaganda.
Devshali said that during the tenure of the Congress government, the Congress leaders misused the rights and powers given by the Constitution in a spirit of vengeance, the biggest example of which is coining the term 'saffron terrorism' after the Malegaon blast case and wasting 17 important years of the lives of innocent Sanatanis by implicating them.
Devshali said that Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi should apologize for spreading propaganda against Sanatan, creating a false narrative of 'saffron terrorism' and implicating innocent people in false cases.
