CHANDIGARH, 30.07.25-Former Councillor Shakti Prakash Devshali has written a letter to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari and urged him to ensure smooth traffic movement by building flyovers or underpasses on the next three intersections after Tribune Chowk.
In a letter to Gadkari, Devshali thanked him for sanctioning funds for the Tribune flyover and announcing the start of work soon. He said that after the construction of the Tribune flyover, there will be relief from traffic jam at Tribune Chowk but the problem of traffic jam will become even more serious beyond that till Zirakpur flyover. After the Tribune Chowk flyover is built, this jam will occur at the next three intersections, which include Industrial Area Phase 1 and Ram Darbar Chowk, Vikasnagar and Hallomajra Chowk and Raipur Khurd and Bahlana Chowk, and the problem will remain as it is.
Devshali requested Union Minister Nitin Gadkari that as long as the construction work of Tribune Chowk flyover continues, provision of flyover or underpass should be ensured there to get rid of the traffic jam at the next three intersections. So that as soon as the work of Tribune flyover is completed, the work of the next intersections can also be started for smooth and uninterrupted traffic movement.
Devshali said that in the coming time, the number of vehicles will increase further, which will create more problems regarding smooth flow of traffic. If efforts are not made to resolve it in time, then this problem will assume a very serious form.
