Chandigarh, July 31- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the austerity, sacrifice, and courage of the great revolutionary Shaheed Udham Singh will always inspire us. He recalled that Udham Singh avenged the Jallianwala Bagh massacre by killing General Dyer on foreign soil. This act of bravery remains an everlasting inspiration for the entire nation and a beacon of patriotism.
The Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday addressed a public gathering at Sunam, the birthplace of Shaheed Udham Singh, in Punjab.
Earlier, the Chief Minister paid floral tributes at Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial. He also planted a sapling at the memorial and visited the Udham Singh Museum, where he saw the photographs, letters, and memories associated with the martyr. He recorded his thoughts in the visitor’s book.
Later, the Chief Minister met the family members of Shaheed Udham Singh, accompanied by Sardar Hardayal Singh, who presented him with a memorandum of their demands.
Later, the Chief Minister attended a public meeting organized by BJP leader Daaman Bajwa on Sangrur Road, where Punjab BJP leaders gave him a warm welcome.
The Chief Minister said that it was an honor to visit the birthplace of Shaheed Udham Singh. He recalled that during the Baisakhi gathering at Jallianwala Bagh, General Dyer ordered the firing on unarmed civilians after blocking all exits, leading to the killing of thousands. It was then that Udham Singh vowed not to rest until he avenged the massacre.
After 21 years of perseverance, on April 13, 1940, Udham Singh shot General Dyer on British soil, avenging the massacre of April 13, 1919, and ultimately sacrificed his life for the nation. Revolutionary Udham Singh’s courage, sacrifice, and determination remain unparalleled. It is because of countless sacrifices by heroes like Udham Singh and Bhagat Singh that we live in a free India today, the Chief Minister said.
He said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi is committed to building the India of the martyrs’ dreams. We all must work together to realize the vision of the freedom fighters for an independent and prosperous nation, he added.
On this occasion, senior Punjab BJP leaders, organization members from Sunam, and various dignitaries honored the Chief Minister with a memento.
Punjab Government Failed to Deliver on Promises- CM
Speaking to reporters later, the Chief Minister said that it was a proud moment for him to pay homage to Shaheed Udham Singh at his birthplace and meet his family.
Answering a question, he criticized the Punjab government for failing to fulfill the promises made to the people. The government has shown people mere illusions. Just as they misled the people of Delhi, who have now understood their reality, the people of Punjab are also realizing the same, he stated.

Haryana CM releases Rs. 52.14 Crore compensation for Rabi 2025 Crop Losses on July 31
Chandigarh, July 31– Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini today released a compensation amount of Rs. 52.14 crore to 22,617 beneficiary farmers whose Rabi crops were damaged due to hailstorms and heavy rains during the 2025 season on July 31, 2025. The crop compensation has been calculated based on the comprehensive crop damage data collected through the "Kshatipurti portal," which was made operational between December 2024 and March 2025. Farmers across the state registered their losses on the portal, following which meticulous assessments and verifications were carried out.
During the launch of Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management Department's website Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini apprised that through physical verification, about 57,485 acres were found eligible for compensation. The assessment covered 15 districts namely Ambala, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Gurugram, Hisar, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Mahendragarh, Mewat, Palwal, Rewari, Rohtak and Yamunanagar in the state, and financial aid was sanctioned accordingly to support the affected farming communities, he added.
Chief Minister stated that among the districts, Rewari received the highest compensation amounting to Rs. 19.92 crore, followed by Mahendergarh amounting Rs. 10.74, Jhajjar with Rs. 8.33 crore, Gurugram with Rs. 4.07 crore, Charkhi Dadri with Rs. 3.67 crore, and Bhiwani with 2.24 crore etc. The other districts received varying amounts based on their verified affected areas and registered farmers. This compensation aims to support farmers in recovering from the losses caused by extreme weather conditions during the Rabi season of 2025. The compensation amounts were calculated based on the verified area affected and in accordance with government norms for disaster relief. District administrations played a key role in verifying the claims and facilitating prompt release of funds to the eligible beneficiaries.

*Digital Era of Revenue Services in Haryana: CM Launches New Website, Rs. 52.14 crore Compensation Transferred to Farmers*
Chandigarh, July 31 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini today unveiled the new official website of the Revenue & Disaster Management Department i.e https://revenueharyana.gov.in/. He stated that through this initiative transparency will be ensured in the department and scope of leakages will be eliminated.
Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini emphasized the transformative impact of the new website, stating, "The Revenue Department will now be even closer to the people. With this new website, all revenue services are consolidated onto a single platform, eliminating the need for citizens make repeated visits to revenue offices." The technologically advanced website boasts feature such as Single Sign-On (SSO) that allows users to access multiple applications and websites with a single set of login credentials, online slot booking, real-time digital display systems, dedicated help desks, and information available in local languages. A key highlight is the ability for citizens to submit registration applications from the ease of their homes, requiring only a single biometric presence for finalization, thereby significantly accelerating and simplifying the process. With the launch of this new website all 26 services will be under one roof. The State Government will modernize all registration offices across the state by restructuring them on the model of Passport Seva Kendras, CM added.
While addressing, CM stated that the Haryana government has ushered in a new era for revenue records, which are now fully GIS-based, enabling real-time monitoring of land status. The demarcation process has gone entirely paperless, utilizing rovers and a dedicated demarcation portal for enhanced efficiency and accuracy. Each district now features modern record rooms, equipped with state-of-the-art scanning technology and public-facing desks. Till date, the department has diligently digitized and scanned 39.80 crore pages with 39.57 crore pages uploaded to a central database accessible via the Web HALRIS portal.
While speaking at the launch of the website, Cabinet Minister, Sh. Vipul Goel who also holds the portfolio of Revenue & Disaster Management, highlighted that Haryana is making remarkable strides in transforming land governance. Through ambitious initiatives like the Haryana Large Scale Mapping Project (HaLSMP) and the Modern Revenue Record Rooms (MRRR) project, the state aims to safeguard essential land data from both natural and man-made disruptions. These reforms are expected to bring unprecedented clarity, transparency, and efficiency to rural and urban land management systems. Each district now boasts a state-of-the-art record room with modern infrastructure, including climate-controlled storage, advanced scanning equipment, and a public-facing front desk for grievance redressal and document requests. He also expressed his best wishes and appreciated the strenuous efforts of officers of the Revenue Department and its IT team. The launch of this new website marks a significant transformation for the Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management Department, as it aims to bring essential services directly to the people.
Haryana Financial Commissioner Revenue, Dr. Sumita Misra informed that the Revenue Department plans to roll out more innovative digital solutions within the next month, including the Private Property Portal, the Nishandehi Portal (for digital demarcation and boundary verification), and a Paperless Registration System, which will simplify and digitize property registration across the state.
The portal will also facilitate Tatima updation under HaLSMP. She informed that the Tatima updation process is underway and will soon be completed, marking another leap forward in accurate and transparent land mapping. The launch of this new website is not just a digital upgrade it is a paradigm shift in Haryana’s land governance model, she added. With visionary leadership from the Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini and the dedicated efforts of the Revenue & Disaster Management Department, Haryana is moving towards a fully digitized, transparent, and citizen-first revenue administration system.
While responding to a question raised by a media person, CM said that during the congress regime, the then government disbursed Rs. 5500 crore whereas our government has disbursed Rs. 15000 crore in the bank account of beneficiary farmers. He highlighted that since 2014, the Haryana government has made considerable efforts to deliver citizen-centric services through digital platforms. This initiative has brought unprecedented transparency to the system, which in turn has bolstered public trust in the government.
In another response to a question, Chief Minister addressed the state's efforts to promote natural farming, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision. He mentioned that the government is actively engaging with the public to encourage the adoption of natural farming methods.

Haryana Expands MRI and CT Scan Services Under PPP Model
New MRI and CT scan services to begin in Kurukshetra, Panipat, Charkhi Dadri, and Bahadurgarh within 3 months

Chandigarh, July 31 - Under the leadership of Health Minister Arti Singh Rao, the Health Department of Haryana has entered into agreements under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to begin MRI scan services at District Civil Hospitals in Kurukshetra and Panipat, and CT scan services at District Civil Hospital, Charkhi Dadri and Sub-District Hospital, Bahadurgarh. These agreements have been signed with M/s Navneet Saxena, M/s Satyakiran, and M/s HealthMap.
This initiative is part of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini’s vision to provide high-quality healthcare services to every citizen of Haryana. With this step, people in these regions will benefit from better diagnostic services and faster treatment. These services are expected to start within the next three months.
The Health Minister said the government aims to expand CT and MRI scan services to every district in Haryana. “This is just the beginning. The state government is committed to ensuring that such facilities are made available in all districts. We will expand these services in a phased manner so that every citizen can access quality healthcare,” she added.
CT scan services under the PPP model were first introduced in 2015, initially in 4 districts, and are now operational in 17 districts. MRI services, also started in 2015 under PPP mode, are currently available in 5 districts. Soon, these services will be expanded to all districts. The state is currently conducting about 1.5 lakh CT scans and 65,000 MRI scans annually.
These diagnostic services are offered at 50–60% lower rates than market prices for general patients and are free of cost for patients from BPL and urban slum patients from Haryana, Beneficiaries receiving disability pension from Haryana Government, Economically poor patients not covered under any free category, Scheduled Caste patients from Haryana, Economically Weaker Sections (as per Haryana Government’s reservation policy), Unidentified victims of roadside accidents, Haryana Government employees, pensioners, and their dependents, and Persons living with HIV (PLHIV).
Haryana has been a leader in using the PPP model to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and services. Through this model, the state has successfully provided services like dialysis, CT scans, MRI scans, and cath labs.
Notably, Dialysis services are currently available in all 22 districts of Haryana. Since October 2024, dialysis is free of cost for all categories of patients. Around 3,000 end-stage kidney disease patients are benefiting from this service, with the state conducting about 1.8 lakh dialysis sessions annually.
Moreover, advanced cardiac cath lab services, which usually cost ₹1.5 to 2 lakh per patient in private hospitals, are now available in four district civil hospitals. These services are free for SC/ST, BPL patients, and government employees and their dependents, and offered at 60–70% discounted rates for others.

Chandigarh, July 31 – Haryana’s Minister of State for Sports, Sh. Gaurav Gautam, stated that due to the state’s excellent sports policy and consistent medal wins at national and international events, Haryana has emerged as a leader in Indian sports. Despite representing only 2% of the country's population, Haryana’s athletes contribute to 60% of India's medal wins at international competitions. Continuing this legacy, the Sports Mahakumbh 2025 will begin in two phases starting August 2, with 15,410 athletes participating in 26 different sports.
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini will inaugurate the event as Chief Guest at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula on August 2. The first phase will run till August 4. For the first time, this state-level event is being held as a grand ceremony inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
While addressing the press conference at the Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh, the Sports Minister expressed pride that Haryana athletes have won medals in each of the past five Olympic Games, bringing home 15 medals and making the nation proud.
He added that the 26 sports will be hosted across four locations:
Panchkula: Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Handball, Hockey
Faridabad: Shooting, Taekwondo
Rohtak: Boxing, Netball, Football
Sonipat: Lawn Tennis
Athletes from all 22 districts and Haryana Sports University, Rai (Sonipat), will participate. In both phases of the event, a total of 2,102 medals will be awarded — 836 in the first phase and 1,266 in the second. The second phase will be held in the last week of August.
Among the Largest Sporting Events in the Country
The Minister highlighted that Haryana’s Sports Mahakumbh will be bigger than many national-level sports events. For comparison, around 8,000 athletes participate in the Khelo India Youth Games organized by the Sports Authority of India, while over 15,000 will compete in this Mahakumbh.
High-Quality Food and Facilities for Athletes
He assured that the selection of athletes from districts was conducted fairly under the supervision of district sports officers. Proper arrangements for food, kits, and accommodation have been made to ensure athletes face no inconvenience. A special coordination committee has been formed under the Additional Sports Director to oversee the event. Any athlete across the state can report issues related to facilities or technical arrangements directly to the committee. Immediate action will be taken against negligent officials.
State Government Committed to Nurturing Sports Talent
The Minister emphasized that just as a coach plays a crucial role in grooming athletes, the state government is committed to providing international-level infrastructure, excellent coaches, employment opportunities, and recognition to athletes. Haryana has released an annual sports calendar, under which 18 types of sports events are organized.
Winners to Receive Sports Gradation Certificates and 3% Job Reservation
He further stated that according to Haryana’s sports policy, winners of the Sports Mahakumbh will receive sports gradation certificates, which help in availing 3% reservation in government jobs for sportspersons.

CISF’s Project Mann in collaboration with ‘MPower’ Offers Mental Health Support to over 75,000 Personnel
Chandigarh, July 31- The Chairperson, Aditya Birla Education Trust (ABET), Smt. Neerja Birla and DG, CISF, Sh. RS Bhatti, IPS jointly reviewed the progress of Project Mann, a mental health initiative for which CISF and ABET signed an MoU in November 2024.
DG, CISF appreciated the role of the ABET professionals in creating mental health awareness through awareness building, counselling, clinical interventions and training of CISF personnel.
He said that Project Mann has been able to help 75,181 CISF personnel and their families till date. ABET has also trained 1,726 CISF officers and sub-officers to identify and manage low-risk mental health issues and escalate serious cases to professionals. This two-tiered structure has made psychological support more accessible at the grassroots level. Hyper-sensitive units such as IGI Airport, Parliament, Delhi Metro among others have had psychometric assessments of over 31,000 personnel for early identification in case of potential issues.
The initiative has resulted in counselling and interventions in the case of depression, marital discord, financial stress among others. Notably, the suicide rate of CISF has declined below the national average during the year 2024 and 2025 highlighting the impact of this initiative. Considering the success and impact of Project Mann, DG, CISF and Smt. Neerja Birla has jointly decided to continue the support for the coming years.
Highlighting the significance of this initiative DG, CISF said that “Mental health is as mission-critical as physical fitness for our personnel. This initiative strengthens our internal support systems and ensures that our personnel remain emotionally resilient, focused and operationally ready”.
Founder and Chairperson- Mpower, Aditya Birla Education Trust, Smt. Neerja Birla said that “Our long-term partnership with CISF is a testament to what can be achieved when mental health is institutionalised. Over the past three years, Project Mann has supported more than 75,000 personnel with psychometric screening, counselling, peer engagement and a 24×7 helpline across CISF units nationwide. We appreciate CISF’s commitment to holistic well-being of integrating wellness protocols and care into daily system resulting in a 40 percent reduction in suicide incidents as a positive outcome.”

Chandigarh, July 31- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini while paying homage to Shaheed Udham Singh on his martyrdom day, described the revolutionary’s sacrifice as a timeless symbol of patriotism, courage and selflessness in India’s freedom struggle.
Addressing a commemorative event held at Baba Bhuman Shah Dham in Sangar Sarista, Sirsa on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that Shaheed Udham Singh laid down his life fighting against colonial oppression. His determination and supreme sacrifice continue to inspire generations to serve the nation with dedication, he said.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced the allotment of a plot to Kamboj Sabha in Panchkula. He added that similar applications from the Sabha for land in Fatehabad, Kaithal and Jagadhri will be processed on priority. He further announced that the village Bara Suleman in Hisar will be renamed Udampura in honour of the martyr.
The Chief Minister while responding positively to various public demands put before him on this occasion, said that a Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital named after Baba Bhuman Shah will be considered after a feasibility study. Similarly, he assured the construction of a drain Rangoi Nala from the Ghaggar River passing through Rampura Dhani, subject to feasibility. Regarding the demand for OBC reservation in Class I and II government jobs, he said the matter will be taken up with the OBC Commission. Other demands will be forwarded to the respective departments for feasibility study.
A Vow of Vengeance Remembered
Recalling Udham Singh’s act of retribution, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre had left an indelible impact on the young revolutionary, who was serving water to the crowd on that fateful day. Deeply disturbed, he resolved to avenge the killings. That resolve culminated in the assassination of Michael O’Dwyer, the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab, at Caxton Hall in London on March 13, 1940. Udham Singh was later sentenced to death and hanged at Pentonville Prison on July 31 the same year. Udham Singh’s defiance against the British Empire and his commitment to justice represents an inspiring chapter in our history, he said. He also paid homage to other revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Chandrashekhar Azad and Madan Lal Dhingra, who chose the difficult path of sacrifice to free India from colonial rule.
Government is committed to realizing the dreams of the martyrs
The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to realizing the dreams of the martyrs by ensuring inclusive development and empowering every section of society. He informed that a war memorial is under construction in Ambala to commemorate the heroes of the 1857 uprising. We cannot repay the debt of our martyrs, but we must acknowledge it with gratitude and action, he said.
The Chief Minister further highlighted recent steps taken for the welfare of freedom fighters, noting that the monthly pension for freedom fighters and their widows in Haryana has been increased from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 40,000.
Focus on Backward Classes
The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s focus on upliftment of backward classes, aligning with Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of Sabka Sath-Sabka Vikas. He said the National Commission for Backward Classes has been granted constitutional status. OBCs are also benefitting from reservations in medical education, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas and Sainik Schools.
He added that in Haryana, backward classes have been given 8 percent reservation for BC-A and 5 percent for BC-B in Panchayati Raj institutions, along with 50 percent representation in Panch posts based on population share. In urban local bodies, BC-B members receive 5 percent reservation for Mayor/President posts and 50 percent for councillor positions in proportion to their local population. He also highlighted the Rs. 51,000 financial assistance provided for the marriage of daughters in families with annual incomes below Rs. 1.8 lakh.
Martyrs Are Immortal, CM
Calling upon citizens to honour the legacy of the nation’s martyrs, the Chief Minister urged everyone to take a pledge for preserving unity and working collectively for the development of the state and the country. Martyrs never die. Let us commit ourselves to safeguarding the hard-earned freedom and shaping a new, stronger India,”he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Baba Brahm Das, Dera Baba Bhuman Shah Ji, welcomed the Chief Minister and commended him for working tirelessly for public welfare. He appealed to the youth to draw inspiration from martyrs, cultivate moral values and serve the nation with sincerity. The youth are the future of the country and must contribute to national progress, he said.
Baba Brahm Das also raised concern over drug abuse, calling it a major social evil. He urged everyone to come together to uproot the menace. “Our collective effort against drugs will continue until society is completely free from it,” he said.
