Chandigarh, July 25 – A vibrant celebration of Hariyali Teej took place on Friday evening at the residence of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini. The event was filled with traditional folk songs, and glimpses of rich cultural heritage. Women from across the state participated with great enthusiasm. Amid the greenery of the monsoon season, the colourful sarees, hands with mehndi, folk music, and dance created a truly beautiful and memorable atmosphere. Haryana Governor, Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh's wife Smt. Mitra Ghosh, Health Minister Kumari Arti Singh Rao, MLAs, Smt. Shakti Rani Sharma and Smt. Bimla Chaudhary, State BJP President MohanLal Badoli, BJP leader, Smt. Banto Kataria and several other dignitaries graced the occasion.

The event presided over by Vice-President of the Haryana State Council for Child Welfare and wife of the Chief Minister, Smt. Suman Saini. During the programme, she also visited the exhibition set up on the occasion of the Teej festival.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister extended greetings to the people of the state and said that Teej is not just a festival—it is the soul of our culture. It represents family values, social bonding, and our traditions. He especially appreciated the presence of young girls and said it is our collective responsibility to keep the new generation connected to their cultural roots.

Haryana is proud of its rich traditions and folk culture. Our folk songs, dances, music, and art are carriers of our cultural identity. Through them, the youth remain connected to their culture. It is the need of the hour to preserve and promote this heritage, he added.

Reiterating the state government's commitment to women’s empowerment, the Chief Minister highlighted various initiatives and achievements aimed at improving the lives of women. He said that women form half of our population, and a Viksit Bharat can only be built when they play an equal and active role in shaping our society and nation.

He also appealed to all the women present to go beyond rituals and use the occasion of Teej to draw inspiration for environmental protection. He emphasised that the greenery of Sawan (monsoon) will return only when we plant more trees and protect nature.

CM Nayab Singh Saini condoles the untimely demise of Preet Dahiya, Nephew of OSD Virendra Badkhalsa

Chandigarh, July 25 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini today extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of late Preet Dahiya (22), nephew of his Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Sh. Virender Badkhalsa, and son of Sh. Jaidev Dahiya. Preet Dahiya tragically lost his life in a road accident, a loss deeply mourned not only by his family but by the entire region.

During his visit to Sonipat, the Chief Minister met the bereaved family members, offered his sympathies and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength for the family to bear this irreparable loss. He described Preet as a bright, humble and disciplined young man, whose sudden demise is a significant loss to society.

ACS Home, Dr. Sumita Misra Conducts High-Level Review of CET Exam Preparations

Chandigarh, July 25 – Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Dr. Sumita Misra, reviewed the preparations of Panchkula District Administration for the CET examination scheduled for July 26-27, 2025. She issued clear instructions to the district administration and police, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy for negligence.

Dr. Misra directed the police to maintain strict vigilance while being courteous to candidates and their guardians. Extending her best wishes to all aspirants, she urged them to arrive at exam centres well in advance and assured them that any candidate facing difficulties en route could approach the nearest police personnel for assistance. Police have been instructed to escort stranded candidates to their exam centres without delay. She also directed the setup of helpdesks at bus stands and other prominent locations for the convenience of candidates.

She further urged students and parents not to fall for fake messages, letters, or rumors circulating on social media. "Follow only official instructions issued by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, the police, or the district administration," she stated. Any attempt to spread misinformation or share forged documents will result in immediate police action.

Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula, Ms. Monika Gupta, participating in the meeting, apprised that the Panchkula district is fully prepared to host CET 2025. A dedicated bus service has been arranged from the Sector-5 Bus Stand, with over 108 buses deployed to transport candidates to their exam centers. Special buses will also depart from Kalka, Morni, Barwala, and Raipur Rani in two shifts to accommodate the exam schedule.

She informed that mobile phones are completely banned inside exam centres, not just for candidates but also for duty staff. Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita will remain enforced around all exam centres. Coaching centres and photocopy shops will remain shut for both days to eliminate any chances of cheating.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ms. Srishti Gupta, revealed that 550 police personnel will be deployed across 44 exam centres in Panchkula, supported by rooftop surveillance using binoculars to spot any suspicious activity. Special traffic management plans have been rolled out to avoid congestion. "No private vehicles will be allowed within a 500-meter radius of exam centers. Wrong parking will be dealt with strictly, and violators will face legal action," she added.

DCP Gupta also announced that loudspeaker announcements via ERV (Emergency Response Vehicle) and PCR (Police Control Room) vans will guide students and the public. All police units have been directed to remain on high alert and act swiftly against anyone attempting malpractice or disturbing peace.

Chandigarh, July 25 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that all preparations have been completed to organize a major event in the state regarding the three new criminal laws.

The Chief Minister was interacting with media persons after paying a courtesy call on Union Home and Cooperation Minister Sh. Amit Shah in New Delhi today. He said that several important issues, including the Keshau Dam, were discussed in detail with the Union Minister. In addition, Sh Amit Shah was apprised of the progress of various welfare schemes and development programs being implemented in the state.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi has worked at an accelerated pace to strengthen and make the country’s economy self-reliant. During his tenure, India’s economy has progressed from the 11th to the 4th position globally. Under his leadership, India today stands as a strong and empowered nation.

In response to a question, the Chief Minister said that all necessary arrangements have been made for the CET examination. Lakhs of candidates will appear for the exam across the state on July 26 and 27. He added that officials have been directed to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the candidates.

The Chief Minister further said that recruitment in the Haryana Police will be initiated soon. Directions have already been issued to the concerned officials to complete all necessary preparations.

The Chief Minister said that the opposition lacks any issues. He said that for the past 11 years, Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi has been working in a planned and dedicated manner for the all-round development of the poor, farmers and rural as well as urban areas. As a result, the lives of citizens across the country are becoming more simple, convenient, and empowered. He added that the opposition is unable to digest the rapid pace of development taking place in the country.

The Chief Minister further said that during the tenure of the current central government, nearly 4 crore houses have been provided to poor and needy families. In addition, under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year is being given to farmers. So far, lakhs of farmers have benefited through 19 installments under this scheme. Owing to such initiatives, around 25 crore people in the country have been lifted out of poverty.

Sharing details of a program during his visit to Bihar, the Chief Minister informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, between 700 to 900 houses have been constructed in each panchayat in Bihar and provided to the poor. He also highlighted that ration is being provided every month to economically weaker families across the country. He said that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi is the only leader who genuinely cares for the welfare of the poor.

Sh Nayab Singh Saini also commented on the situation in Delhi, stating that the Aam Aadmi Party has deteriorated the conditions in the national capital, causing numerous hardships for its residents. He added that the Haryana Government is working in coordination with the Delhi Government on several important initiatives, including the cleaning of the Yamuna River.

Chandigarh, July 25 – The Haryana Government is working extensively to promote various industrial sectors. The state is committed to developing an industry-friendly policy framework that ensures economic progress, global competitiveness, and ease of doing business.

He said this while addressing a stakeholder consultation meeting held at the PWD Rest House in Gurugram on the draft Haryana Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Manufacturing Policy, 2025 and Haryana Electronics Waste Recycling Policy, 2025.

Rao Narbir Singh said under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana Government has undertaken several positive initiatives to encourage entrepreneurs and startups. For the convenience of business owners, 135 services have been made available online through the Invest Haryana portal. These services are monitored at a high level to ensure timely delivery across departments, and the system is regularly updated based on stakeholder feedback.

Speaking about the E-Waste Recycling Policy, he said electronic waste recycling is a crucial sector in today’s time. The policy has been prepared in line with Prime Minister Modi’s 3R approach — Reduce, Reuse and Recycle — to ensure Haryana plays a key role in the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ vision. He assured the participating stakeholders that their suggestions would be included in the final version of the policy to position Haryana as a leading industrial state.

Commissioner and Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department, Sh. Amit Kumar Agrawal, said Haryana is committed to building a modern, innovation-based and self-reliant industrial ecosystem. New and emerging sectors are being identified, and specific policies and development-oriented programmes are being framed for them.

The meeting involved wide-ranging discussions with stakeholders on strengthening the e-waste management framework in the state, promoting recycling infrastructure, encouraging extended producer responsibility, and supporting skill development and innovation in the circular economy. Stakeholders also offered valuable suggestions for promoting domestic manufacturing of medical devices, ensuring training, and providing essential infrastructure under the Make in India initiative.

Director General of Industries and Commerce, Sh. D.K. Behera, participated in the meeting via video conference. Chief Technology Officer Nitin Bansal welcomed representatives from the industry and introduced the key features of the state’s new policies, including provisions to support entrepreneurs.

The meeting was attended by the Minister’s Advisor Virender Singh, senior department officials, and representatives from major industry groups and associations such as Poly Medicure, Association of Indian Medical Devices, Mankind Pharma, Karo Sambhav, Namo E-Waste Management Ltd., and Yagya Industries etc.

Chandigarh, July 25 - A delegation of prominent industrialists from Gurugram and Faridabad, associated with the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), met with Shri Mukesh Garg, Member (Law) of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC), at the Commission's office in Panchkula on Friday to discuss concerns related to the recently revised industrial electricity tariffs in Haryana.

The representatives submitted that Haryana’s industrial electricity tariff should be brought in line with those of neighbouring states like Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan to ensure the state's industrial competitiveness and attract fresh investments. In support of their submission, the delegation also presented a comparative study report highlighting how industries in neighbouring states benefit from lower electricity tariffs.

Responding to the concerns, HERC Member (Law) Shri Mukesh Garg clarified that the Commission is a quasi-judicial body which can only act upon properly filed petitions under the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003. He stated that if any consumer has objections related to the Fuel Surcharge Adjustment (FSA) or the tariff structure, they are required to file a formal petition before the Commission, upon which an appropriate decision can be made.

He further informed that the Commission is presently hearing a review petition filed by the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Laghu Udyog Bharati. He also shared that prior to issuing the tariff order for the financial year 2025-26 on March 28, the Commission had conducted a public hearing in which all stakeholders were provided the opportunity to present their views.

Shri Garg assured that both he and the Commission’s Chairperson, Shri Nand Lal Sharma, are fully committed to ensuring strict adherence to the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 and that the interests of consumers remain paramount at all times.

Present during the meeting were PHDCCI Haryana Chapter Co-Chair Shri Pranav Gupta, senior industrialist Shri M.K. Gupta, IMT Industrial Association Faridabad President Shri Pramod Rana, along with several other representatives. The delegation also submitted a formal memorandum requesting a review and possible revision of the electricity tariff.

National Cooperative Policy to Triple GDP Contribution of Cooperative Sector by 2034: Dr. Arvind Sharma

Chandigarh, July 25– Haryana Cooperation, Heritage, and Tourism Minister, Dr. Arvind Sharma, said that through National Cooperative Policy, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s resolution of ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi' under the Viksit Bharat Mission will be accelerated. He said that this policy is expected to ensure a threefold increase in the GDP contribution of the cooperative sector by the year 2034, with Haryana playing a significant role in this growth. He said that under the leadership of Union Cooperation Minister Sh. Amit Shah, the policy aims to provide opportunities for the poor and the underprivileged, enabling their active participation in the country’s economic structure.

Speaking at the inauguration on late Thursday evening of a two-day training programme organised in Gurugram by the Laxmanrao Inamdar National Academy for Cooperative Research and Development (LINAC) and Sahakar Bharati, Dr. Sharma said that the cooperative movement in the country was in a dormant state for a long time and with the creation of the Ministry of Cooperation and Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s call for ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi', the movement has been revived. Today, it is once again becoming a powerful force in driving the economy forward and is opening new paths of self-reliance for the youth, women, and farmers.

He further said that National Cooperative Policy is a historic step, Dr. Sharma said that the foundation of India’s first Cooperative University in Anand, Gujarat, and the rollout of this new policy show a clear vision, practicality, and results-focused thinking. With these steps, the cooperative sector is on track to triple its GDP contribution by 2034.This policy places a strong focus on villages, agriculture, rural women, Dalits, and youth. The participation of cooperative units in emerging areas from tourism to transport, insurance sector to green sector will benefit crores of cooperative people. This will help create a strong and sustainable cooperative ecosystem, he added.

He said that under the national policy, efforts are being made to develop five model cooperative villages in every tehsil through state cooperative banks. The idea is to strengthen self-reliance in rural life. The Haryana government, under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, will incorporate local needs into the policy and work in partnership with all partner organisations to implement it effectively. The goal is to ensure Haryana makes a meaningful contribution to the national economy and its broader development goals

600 youth delegates from 23 States and UTs participate in 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' Youth Exchange Program 2025

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that a total of 600 youth participants and representatives from 23 states and union territories took part in the program. He said that the initiative provided a valuable opportunity for young people to connect with one another, understand diverse cultures, and learn from each other’s experiences. The Chief Minister said that “youth have come here from across the country-some from the North, some from the South, others from the East and West,” he said. “Your languages may differ, your food habits may vary, and your folk songs and dances may be unique. But the one thing that unites us all is our identity as Indians. That is our greatest strength and our shared pride.” He said, “When you return to your respective states, share this enriching experience with your friends, families, and communities. Spread awareness about the importance of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ and the spirit of ‘Yuva Shakti, Rashtra Shakti.’He emphasized that such programs not only foster cultural understanding but also strengthen national unity through the active participation of the youth.

Chief Minister shares five key success mantras for youth empowerment

While addressing the youth, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini shared five key success mantras for leading a purposeful and impactful life. He urged young people to maintain good health, view education not merely as a means to earn a degree, but as a tool to gain knowledge and practical skills, be aware of their responsibilities and duties as citizens, act as carrier of positive change in society by upholding values and integrity and use technology wisely and constructively to contribute to personal growth and national development. He emphasized that nation-building is not solely the responsibility of the government, but a collective duty of every citizen. He said that the role of the youth is especially crucial, as they are the driving force behind shaping the nation's future.

Over 2,000 job fairs organized, providing employment to over 1.06 lakh youth in the private sector

He said that the State Government has given special emphasis towards the skill development, employment and health of youth. In the last ten-and-a-half years, 1.80 lakh youth have been given government jobs in a transparent manner on the basis of merit. Additionally, over 2,000 job fairs have been organized across Haryana, through which employment has been provided to more than 1.06 lakh youth in the private sector. To further strengthen job opportunities, the state has established a dedicated MSME Department aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and creating employment avenues for skilled youth.

Haryana launches Skill Development Mission to provide training in traditional and modern professions

The Chief Minister further highlighted the state’s efforts to empower youth through targeted initiatives. He informed that the Foreign Cooperation Department has been established to facilitate education and employment opportunities for youth abroad, as well as to attract foreign investment to Haryana. In addition, the Haryana Skill Development Mission has been launched to provide training in both traditional and modern professions. Under this mission, 1,14,254 youth have received skill training to enhance their employability. The Chief Minister also mentioned that the state government has introduced several schemes aimed at the holistic development and empowerment of youth. These include the Saksham Yuva Yojana, Drone Didi Scheme, Contractor Saksham Yuva Yojana, HARIHAR Scheme, IT Saksham Yuva, and various scholarship schemes designed to support education and skill enhancement.

Haryana leads in NEP-2020 implementation: integrates skill education from School to University

Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that Haryana has taken a special initiative to implement the National Education Policy first and has linked education from school to university with skills in order to achieve its basic objective. The State has successfully achieved the target of starting NEP-2020 in all universities and colleges by 2025. He said that Haryana has estabhlished the country’s first Skill University — Shri Vishwakarma Skill University in village Dudhola, district Palwal. He expressed his happiness that participants in the Youth Exchange Program were also introduced to various modern skills. Urging the youth, he said, “Take pride in your traditional knowledge, but never hesitate to learn new skills”
