Chandigarh, July 24 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij today said that the present BJP government has changed the history of Haryana, and in the same direction, today in the BJP government of the state, youth are getting jobs without bribes or recommendations (Bina Parchi aur Kharchi), due to which talented children are coming in this field, whereas in the earlier governments, shops for government jobs were set up.

Sh. Vij said that due to transparency in the system, children are getting government jobs only when they succeed based on merit, talent and competition, and only the capable and those who succeed in competition will get jobs.

Sh. Vij was addressing those present during the distribution of job guarantee certificates to 47 employees of Municipal Council, Ambala Sadar, under the Employment Security Act, 2024 enacted by the Haryana Government. Congratulating those who received the certificates, he said that everyone’s future will be secure and they will be able to serve in the Municipal Council till the age of 58.

Energy Minister Anil Vij said that “We have changed the history of Haryana, we have worked to change the history of Haryana.” The people of Ambala Cantonment have made him MLA seven times, and he has been active in politics since 1990. He said he has seen that earlier governments used to set up shops for jobs, and there were even allegations of giving jobs in exchange for large sums of money. Back then, it wasn’t government, it was business, where goods were sold in a way. At that time, family and regionalism were dominant. People were even forced to sell their houses or land to get their children jobs.

He said that after the BJP government came, the system of recommendation and bribes was ended and controlled. He said that due to transparency in the system, children are now getting government jobs only on the basis of their merit, talent and success in competition. Only those who are capable and successful in competition will get jobs. But those who are incapable and got jobs on the basis of recommendation, the government did not allow them to progress.

Energy and Transport Minister Anil Vij said that recently 20 to 25 youth came to his residence and told him that they did not have to go anywhere for jobs, and they got jobs without bribes or recommendations. Today, under the BJP government, youth are getting government jobs according to their capability.

*“I Fought a Lot to End the Contract System” – Vij*

On this occasion, Energy Minister Anil Vij also said that he fought hard to end the contract labour system, which had been continuing since British times. In the contract system, contractors even used to eat up the labourers’ money. To end this practice, he fought and in 2021 established the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN). To secure the future of these people, in 2025 a bill was passed in the Assembly, stating that any person who has completed 5 years under HKRN will be given a Job Security Certificate by the government. Now no one can remove these employees until the age of 58, this is a guarantee given by the government.

During the program, Energy Minister Anil Vij told the certificate recipients, “We teach people to stand, not to bend.” He said today is a major milestone in your life as you have received the job guarantee certificate. Now your future is secure, and you will be able to serve till 58 years of age.

Energy and Transport Minister Anil Vij said that today those working in the Ambala Cantonment Municipal Council have been selected. He requested the officers, employees, and councillors of the Municipal Council that no effort should be spared in making the city beautiful.
