CHANDIGARH, 09.06.25-The Annual Alumni Meet of Post Graduate Government College, Sector-46, Chandigarh was organised. Principal of the college, Professor J.K. Sehgal expressed his happiness that the alumni had spared their valuable time from their day to day working schedules. Principal Sehgal highlighted the crucial role of such events in the growth and development of the institution. He said that the Alumni Meet was not just an event, but a beautiful homecoming that rekindled memories, inspired actions, and strengthened bonds.

It is indeed a matter of pride for PGGC 46 that Bhavit Jain, from the Batch of 2014–2017, who recently cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination, also attended the meet to express his gratitude to his alma mater. In his heartfelt message, he said, “It is a profound honor to return to my alma mater after clearing the UPSC. This college has been the cornerstone of my journey, shaping not just my intellect but also my character. I am deeply grateful to my professors, whose guidance extended far beyond the classroom.”

Several former students walked down the memory lane by sharing their experiences with the audience as to how the college had helped them in shaping their personality. Dr. Rajesh Jhamb, Vice Principal, Govt Polytechnic College, Sector 10, Chandigarh reminisced about his time at PGGC 46 and expressed his deep appreciation to the faculty for organizing the event. Mr. Anil Punj, Senior Announcer at Aakashvani Chandigarh, extended his heartfelt thanks to all teachers and credited Principal Sehgal for orchestrating such a meaningful event.

Paramjit Singh , Youth Officer, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Dr. Gaurav Galhotra, Associate Professor, Dept of Geography, PU, Sunil Kumar Rathi , Principal Senior Secondary School , Haryana, Vijay , Vigilance Branch, Chandigarh Police Satnam Singh, Chandigarh Police, Dr. Anoop Mohanty, Associate Professor , LPU , Jalandhar, Ravi, Musician and Singer, Davinder, Dean Academics, Doon International School, Chandigarh, Mona Sodhi, Assistant Professor, GCCBA 50, Chandigarh also shared their warm emotions for their alma mater.

Sh. Pahlad Aggarwal, former Deputy Director of Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration, and Former Principal of PGGC 11, Chandigarh, eloquently likened alumni to the roots of a tree — providing essential nourishment and strength to their alma mater.

Sh. Chandarbhushan, former Principal expressed his gratitude to the organizing team and all attendees for making the event a success. He left the audience with a thought-provoking message: “Our earnings must not be in quantity but in quality.” Ms. Mona Singh, Associate Professor, Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, Chandigarh also graced the occasion with her presence.

Professor Sneh Harshinder Sharma, Vice Principal proposed the vote of thanks. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to all alumni, students, and staff members who contributed to the success of the event. She appreciated the coordination and enthusiasm of everyone involved and promised to organize future alumni meets with even greater grandeur and participation.
