Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Pardeep Kumar R/o Khudda Lohra, Chandigarh, (Age-21 years) while consuming liquor and creating nuisance from recharge Block-B PGI, Chandigarh on 25-01-2023. A case FIR No. 17 U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Dinesh Kumar R/o Gali No.1, Shanti Nagar Manimajra, Chandigarh (Age-42 years) while consuming liquor and creating nuisance from back side Himachal Bhawan, Sector-24, Chandigarh on 25-01-2023. A case FIR No. 18 U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Siddharth Sharma R/o Sector-25, UT Chandigarh (Age-42 years) while consuming liquor and creating nuisance from Market, Sector-24D, Chandigarh on 26-01-2023. A case FIR No. 19 U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested in theft case

Vineet Kumar R/o # 831, Shiwalik Vihar-3, Nayagaon District Mohali (Pb) reported that unknown person stole away battery from complainant’s car Maruti car No. CH-01BV-8137 from Parking of Public Park, Sector-38C on 17-11-2022. Later a person namely Vikash Buda C/o Raja Ram Farm, Village Maloya, Chandigarh (age-19 yrs) has been arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 10, U/S 379 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Bhartendu Sood R/o # 231, Sector-45/A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away two Laptops, one camera, one mobile phone from complainant’s house on the night intervening 02/03-01-2023. A case FIR No. 08 U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A case FIR No. 04, Dated 26-01-2023 U/S 406, 498-A IPC PS-Women has been registered on the complaint of a lady R/o Chandigarh against her husband R/o Fatehabad (Hry), who harassed complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 04, U/S 380, 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the complaint of a KC Kamboj R/o # 106 NAC, Manimajra Chandigarh against Varinder Kumar R/o Jaishree town, Phase-4, Swastik Vihar, Sector-5, Panchkula (HR) and Nitin Kapoor R/o # 434/13, Mohalla Deras Sahib Manimajra, Chandigarh and others all partners in M/s Luggage Selection Shop No. 163, Old Ropar Road, MM, Chandigarh have cheated/misappropriated funds of their business about Rs 15 crore without the consent of complainant between 2018 to 2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 09, U/S 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Tejinder Singh R/o # 1122, Sector-104, Mohali (Pb) against Gurminder Singh R/o # 2931, Sector-37C, Chandigarh, Sanjay Sharma R/o IREO company SCO No. 6-7, Sector-9, Chandigarh and others cheated to the tune of Rs. 3,06,25,000/- regarding sale/purchase of land at Kalka, Panckula (HR) in the year 2007. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 07, U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of Jasbir Singh R/o # 1193, Sector-34/C, Chandigarh (age-83 years) reported that unknown person asked the details of complainant’s debit card for online food delivery and cheated Rs 38,625/- in two transactions from his account on 09-01-2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Des Raj R/o VPO Jorat, Distt- Kangra (HP) (Age-48 years) reported that 2 Unknown Person on splendor motor cycle sped away after snatched complainant’s mobile phone near local bus stand entry gate, ISBT Sector-43, Chandigarh on 24-01-2023. A case FIR No. 48, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
