Two arrested under NDPS Act in separate cases

Chandigarh Police arrested Bittu Kumar R/o # 552, Village Jhampur, Distt. Mohali, (PB) (age-34 years) and recovered 125 grams charas from his possession near Community Centre, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 03.12.2022. A case FIR No. 157, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Gurdeep R/o # 91, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh (age-23 years) and recovered 6.20 grams heroin from his possession near Kishangarh Chowk, Chandigarh on 03-12-2022. A case FIR No. 84, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Raj Bahadur R/o # 1632, Mori Gate, Mani Majra, Chandigarh (age-42 years) while consuming liquor at public place and create nuisance near Govt. School, New Indira Colony, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 03-12-2022. A case FIR No. 85, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Parwinder Singh, Project Director, CREST, Paryavaran Bhawan, Sector-19, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away 800 meter copper cable and damaged 200 nos moduels from 300kwp Solar Power Plant installed at Govt. Polytechnic for Women College, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 02.12.2022. A case FIR No. 109, U/S 379, 427 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress

Accident

A case FIR No. 168, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the statement of Ram Preet R/o # 2859, Sector-56, Chandigarh against driver of Swift car No. CH-01AV-4832 namely Tarun Lathar R/o # 2705, Sector-38C, Chandigarh which hit to Auto No. CH-01TA-0412 near Post Office, Sector-15, Chandigarh on 02.12.2022. Auto driver namely Jairam R/o Vill. Bhargawa, Distt. Kushi Nagar, UP got injured and admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to Murder

A case FIR No. 150, U/S 341, 323, 307, 506, 34 IPC & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Azad R/o # 3717, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh who alleged that Vijay @ Khaaj, Vikas @ Lalla R/o Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and one unknown person attacked on complainant with iron rod and attempted to murder complainant with knife near Masjid Community Centre, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh on 02.12.2022. Investigation of case is in progress.

Snatching

Aasarfi Lal R/o # 678, Village Burail, Chandigarh reported that three unknown persons snatched away mobile phone and Cash Rs. 600/- from complainant near Petrol Pump, Sector-44, Chandigarh on 03.12.2022. A case FIR No. 168, U/S 379A IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Case registered against persons failed to appear in Court

A case FIR No. 310, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the orders of Hon’ble Court of Sh. Bharat, JMIC, Distt. Court, Sector-43, Chandigarh against Surjit Singh Malik who was declared PO by the hon’ble court but did not appeared before the Hon’ble Court in pursuance of issuance of the proclamation. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 311, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the orders of Hon’ble Court of Ms. Pratima Singla, JMIC, Distt. Court, Sector-43, Chandigarh against Raj Kumar Proprietor M/s Maha Devi Trading Co. Village Neja Dela Kalan, Distt. Sirsa HR who was declared PO by the hon’ble court but did not appeared before the Hon’ble Court in pursuance of issuance of the proclamation. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 312, U/S 174A IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the orders of Hon’ble Court of Sh. Tarun Kumar, JMIC, Distt. Court, Sector-43, Chandigarh against Paramjeet @ Pinky R/o # 5180, 2^nd floor, near Satsang Bhawan, Village Julamgarh, Chandimandir, Distt. Panchkula HR who was declared PO by the hon’ble court but did not appeared before the Hon’ble Court in pursuance of issuance of the proclamation. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Another breakthrough Crime Branch

CHANDIGARH,4.12.2022-In another breakthrough Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Inspector Rajiv Kumar with the close guidance of DSP Crime, Sh. Rajnish got the major success by arresting the three notorious snatchers namely Akash @ Noddy, Vicky@ Nepali and Gourav Sharma who were involved in recently snatching case in the area of Manimajra, Chandigarh. With their arrest 8 Mobile phones have been recovered which were snatched from Chandigarh and Panchkula. Four cases of snatching have been solved while others are being verify. Apart from this one

On 1.12.2022 information received that the persons who recently committed the snatching in the area of Manimajra, Chandigarh are roaming in the area of BDC and looking another pray. Acting upon this information a team swiftly reached in BDC. Accused Akash @ Nody was arrested from near old kerosene Pump, BDC, Chandigarh and snatched mobile phone involved in FIR No. 127 of PS-MM was recovered from his possession. The vehicle used in crime also taken into police possession. On his information his co-accused Vicky S/o Sh. Vijay Kumar R/o # 704/4, BDC, Sec.26, Chandigarh, Aged 30 years was also arrested on 2.12.2022 and mobile phone involved in case FIR No. 132 of PS-MM was recovered on his instance. On 03.12.22accused Gourav Sharma S/o Sh. Raj Kumarwas also arrested and one activa No. CH01AH0731 stolen in case FIR No. 183/21 of PS-34 was recovered from his possession.

2. Vicky S/o Sh. Vijay Kumar R/o # 704/4, BDC, Sec.26, Chandigarh, Aged 30 years

3. Gourav Sharma S/o Sh. Raj Kumar R/o H. No. 724/11, BDC, Sec-26, Chandigarh age 29 yrs

All three the accused are drug edict and to fulfil their needs of drug they committed snatching. All accused have tainted past and have previously been arrested in cases of Chandigarh.
