Chandigarh,10 SEPT.2026: The Department of Psychology, GGDSD College, successfully conducted an internship programme on “Hands-on Training in Counselling Psychology, Therapeutic Skills & Applied Mental Health Practices” from 17 June to 4 July 2026, in collaboration with Shiksha Bhavishyayaan, the Internship Coordinator.
The programme aimed to provide students with practical exposure to counselling skills, therapeutic techniques, communication, case understanding, and applied mental health practices. A total of 71 students participated in the internship, with attendance maintained throughout the programme.
The internship was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Rahul Singh, with the guidance and support of Dr. Tarundeep Kaur, Head, Department of Psychology. The programme provided students with valuable hands-on learning and enhanced their practical understanding of counselling and mental health practices.
The Department expresses its sincere gratitude to Principal Dr. Ajay Sharma for his continued support and encouragement in promoting experiential learning, skill development, and professional exposure for students. His support contributed significantly to the successful organisation of the programme.
