Chandigarh, August 11: Om Mahadev Kawad Sewa Dal organised its second grand Kawad Sewa Camp at the Hanuman Temple in Sector 32 to welcome and provide dedicated services to Kanwariyas undertaking the holy Kawad Yatra. The camp made comprehensive arrangements for free accommodation, food, medicines and other essential facilities for the pilgrims.
BJP Chandigarh Pradesh President Jitendra Pal Malhotra visited the camp and extended a warm welcome to the Kanwariyas. He sought their blessings and showered flower petals on them as a mark of reverence and devotion. Appreciating the initiative of the Om Mahadev Kawad Sewa Dal, he said that serving devotees of Lord Shiva is itself a form of devotion to Lord Bholenath.
Jitendra Pal Malhotra said that the Kawad Yatra is not merely a religious journey but a symbol of faith, devotion, discipline and dedication. Thousands of devotees undertake the difficult journey with deep श्रद्धा to offer holy water to Lord Shiva. Providing them with essential facilities, food, shelter and medical assistance during the journey is a noble service and reflects the spirit of compassion and social responsibility.
He further appreciated the dedicated efforts of the members of the service organisation and said that such initiatives strengthen the spirit of social harmony, mutual support and religious faith in society.
The camp provided free food, accommodation, first-aid facilities and essential medicines to the Kanwariyas. Members of the service group remained actively engaged in ensuring that the pilgrims received all necessary assistance and could continue their sacred journey safely and comfortably.
District President Ravinder Malik, Pradesh Vice President Naresh Panchal, Bharat Hindu Vishwa Parishad President V.K. Arora, along with Om Mahadev Kawad Sewa Dal members Naresh, Gaurav Srivastava, Abhishek, Manohar Lal, Mohit and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
The entire atmosphere at the camp remained spiritually charged with devotional fervour and chants dedicated to Lord Shiva. Members of the Om Mahadev Kawad Sewa Dal said that serving Kanwariyas is not merely a social responsibility for them, but a sacred opportunity to serve Lord Bholenath and seek His blessings. They expressed their resolve to continue such religious and social service initiatives with the same dedication in the future.
