One person arrested in NDPS Act.

Chandigarh Police arrested Parveen Garg R/o # 18 Village Kajheri Sector 52 Chandigarh near PWD office Sector-46/D, Chandigarh on 14-01-2026 and recovered 15.69 gram heroin from his possession. A Case FIR No. 05 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-34 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

One person arrested in Excise Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Vikas Kumar @ Bhindi R/o # 470 Vill- Daddu Majra Chandigarh near R/o # 4672 Dadu Majra, Chandigarh on 14-01 2026 and recovered 49 quarters desi Liquor Jamila Santra from his possession. A case FIR No. 08 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Maloya Chandigarh. Later on the accused bailed out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Abetment of suicide

A Case FIR No. 12 U/S 108 BNS has been registered in Police Station Mauli Jagran Chandigarh on the complaint of Vinod R/o # 1774 Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh against two ladies, Lakhan and his wife, Raj, Kala, Salim, Sameer, Aadi, Rinku, Ritik, They harassed to complainant and his brother Dharampal @ Tinu & through stones to complainant house. Complainant brother was commit suicide by hanging. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Mischief by killing or maiming animal

A Case FIR No. 13 U/S 325 BNS & 11 prevention of cruelty of Animal Act has been registered in Police Station Mauli Jagran Chandigarh on the complaint of Gaushala Management Committee, Makhan Majra Chandigarh against unknown, due to lack of proper Fodder, Drinking Water, Medical Care, and shelter, a large number of cattle had died upon inspection, it was found that the cattle were suffering from cold, hunger, and illness, and approximately 50-60 cattle were found dead at the spot, with no veterinary doctor or treatment facility available on 13-01-2026 from gaushala makhan majra, Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 04 U/S 281 BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-31 Chandigarh on the complaint of Mohit Gupta R/o # 48 Modern Enclave Baltana Zirakpur (Punjab) against unknown driver of car no. T1225UP0629J sped away after hitting complainant black colour verna car no. PB70L-1258 from tribune chowk on 10-01-2026. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No. 08 U/S 319(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Cyber Crime Chandigarh on the complaint of one lady R/o # Raipur khurd Chandigarh against unknown person who cheated complainant for Rs. 27,10,477 /- on the pretext of investment.
