Chandigarh, January 15 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that India’s foreign policy has been unprecedentedly successful during the tenure of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi being conferred with the highest national honours by more than 27 countries is clear evidence that India’s global credibility and prestige have reached historic heights today.
While interacting with media persons, Sh. Anil Vij said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has emerged on the world stage as a strong, confident and respected nation. He added that compared to earlier times, the image of Indians abroad has become significantly stronger and India’s voice is now heard with seriousness on global platforms.
He alleged that with the intent of tarnishing the country’s positive image, some spokespersons of the Congress party continuously make misleading statements. Sh. Vij said that such remarks are not only against national interest but also an attempt to weaken India’s image at the international level.
Commenting on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Sh. Anil Vij said that before raising questions about others, he should first reflect on his own political history. He recalled that during the tenure of former Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi, Emergency was imposed in the country, the Constitution and fundamental rights of citizens were trampled upon, democratically elected governments were dismissed and a large number of innocent people were jailed on false charges.
Reacting to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Sh. M.K. Stalin’s remark describing the BJP-led Central Government as a “permanent corona,” Sh. Anil Vij said that some leaders harbor an unnecessary fear of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He added that such leaders express their political frustration through baseless and irrational statements, while the people of the country are well aware of the truth.
