CHANDIGARH, 12.01.26-The birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda is observed every year on 12th January as National Youth Day, commemorating his timeless message of youth empowerment, self-belief, discipline, character-building, and nation-building, PUNJAB ENGINEERING COLLEGE (DEEMED TO BE UNIVERSITY), CHANDIGARH organised a 5 km run today in the university.

The event started with a motivational talk to the runners by Dr. D.R. Prajapati (Dean of Student Affairs).

The event was graced with the presence of Dr. Sandeep Harit (ADSA Sports), Dr. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Lokesh Kumar, Dr. Harshit, Sh. Ravinder Kumar (Sports Instructor).

The objective of the programme was to sensitise students and youth to the values of Swadeshi, Atmanirbhar Bharat, physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, social responsibility, and national unity, drawing inspiration from the ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The NCC/NSS Cadets, Sports Committee and students of the institute participated in the run.
