MAHENDERGARH.19.09.25-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, organized a “Safai Mitra Suraksha Camp” on Friday under the Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Campaign. The camp was jointly organized by the University’s National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and the University Health Centre.
Extending his best wishes for the camp, CUH Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that the initiative is extremely useful for ensuring the health check-up of sanitation workers and other support staff working in the University campus.
During the inaugural session held at the University Health Centre, CUH Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma emphasized that the Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan provides an opportunity for everyone to contribute to the making of a clean India. He called upon all stakeholders to actively participate in this initiative and acknowledged the crucial role of sanitation workers in maintaining cleanliness across the University, expressing gratitude for their dedicated efforts.
CUH Registrar Prof. Suneel Kumar informed that the one-day camp included health check-ups for various sanitation workers and other support staff working on the campus. Based on the check-up results, medical advice was provided to the participants.
University Medical Officer Dr. Heena Yadav shared that a total of 52 sanitation workers underwent health screening during the camp. They were also provided with Swachhta Kits as part of the initiative. The health check-up included blood pressure monitoring, diabetes testing, and other medical consultations. Necessary medicines were distributed to those requiring treatment.
The camp witnessed active participation from Prof. Rajendra Prasad Meena, Coordinator, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat; Prof. Payal Kanwar Chandel, Dr. Tarun Kumar, Nodal Officer, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan; XEN Gaurav Kumar, JE Antil Singh; University Health Centre staff; NSS Coordinators Dr. Pradeep, Dr. Neelam, Dr. Yudhveer, Dr. Mukesh Upadhyay, and NSS volunteers Mohit, Muskan, Kajal, Amar Raj, Priyanshu, and Sapna.
