CHANDIGARH, 19.09.25-Former Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Councillor Shakti Prakash Devshali has strongly condemned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's recent call to "GenZ", terming it as an attempt to incite the youth and create disorder in the country. He stated that the Congress leader, frustrated with being out of power, is deliberately provoking the youth towards disruptive activities. At a time when India is marching ahead on the path of stability, development, and global leadership under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is highly irresponsible for the Leader of the Opposition to mislead the future generation into chaos and anarchy.
Devshali remarked, "It seems the Congress wants the same kind of situation in India as that which occurred in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Rahul Gandhi appears to want to bring in India what GenZ did in Nepal a few days ago." Urging Indian youth to follow such a path is an insult to the country's democracy and detrimental to the nation’s integrity. Today's youth are already playing a leading role in innovation and nation-building; they need purposeful guidance and the right direction, not any kind of anarchy or negative thinking.
He further said that democracy thrives on debate, dialogue, and progress—not on provocation, obstruction, or anarchy. Congress and its leaders must inspire youth toward entrepreneurship, innovation, and responsible citizenship, instead of sowing seeds of division, agitation, or unrest in society.
Devshali appealed to the youth of the country, especially Gen Z, to focus their energy on nation-building and development, rather than being misled into disruptive activities. The youth power of India has always rejected the politics of such negative elements and will continue to do so.
