*“RSS is the world’s largest volunteer organization” – Haryana Energy, Transport & Labour Minister Anil Vij*
*“RSS nurtures citizens with a spirit of nationalism and works towards building character in society” – Anil Vij*
*Vij takes a jibe at Rahul Gandhi: “Those who stole a surname for political gain, turning from Ghandy to Gandhi, are now raising a hue and cry about vote theft.”*
Chandigarh, August 30 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is the world’s largest volunteer organization, preparing individuals to foster nationalism and building the character of citizens across the country.
Responding to media queries regarding remarks by Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai, who described RSS as an “army of Vidur,” Sh. Vij strongly defended the organization. He said that “RSS has 48 branches engaged in different kinds of social service, and it is committed to preserving India’s Sanatan culture.”
*“Congress has crushed India’s culture and traditions for 60 years” – Vij*
Targeting the opposition, Sh. Vij remarked that some parties and leaders who seek to destroy India’s culture for political motives are naturally pained by RSS, since the organization is working to safeguard the nation. He said that “For the last 60 years, Congress has worked to suppress India’s culture and beliefs. The Ram Mandir could only be built when the BJP government came to power at the Centre – fulfilling the faith of crores of Indians. Similarly, Article 370 was abrogated only under a BJP government.”
*“People of India continue to teach lessons to the opposition” – Vij*
Slamming Congress further, Sh. Vij said that “Why did Congress not remove Article 370 when it had a two-thirds majority? Instead, Congress allowed bloodshed and violence to continue in the country, only offering condolence ceremonies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the other hand, struck directly inside Pakistan and destroyed terrorist hideouts – something only leaders nurtured by RSS values could do.” He added that there is no cure for Congress’s anguish, and the people of India will continue to teach the opposition lessons at every step.
*“Since when did they become Gandhis?” – Vij*
On Rahul Gandhi’s allegation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is “afraid because vote theft has been exposed,” Sh. Vij retorted that “Who exactly is Rahul Gandhi? If we go by history, being the grandson of Feroze Ghandy, he should be Rahul Ghandy. Indira should have been Indira Ghandy, not Gandhi. The family lineage clearly shows ‘Ghandy,’ so how did they suddenly become ‘Gandhi’?”
*“They stole Gandhi’s name to cash in on his popularity” – Vij*
Sh. Vij further alleged that the Gandhi family deliberately changed their surname from Ghandy to Gandhi to encash Mahatma Gandhi’s popularity. “Rahul Gandhi is actually Rahul Ghandy. Search Feroze Ghandy’s name anywhere – it is written as Ghandy. To encash the popularity of Mahatma Gandhi, they stole the Gandhi name. And the irony is that those who stole a caste and a name for political advantage are now making noise about vote theft,” he said.
