Patiala/Chandigarh, July 29: The Bhagwant Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party government has failed miserably in getting the landless Scheduled Caste farmers their rights and their constitutional rights are being crushed. This was revealed by Paramjit Singh Kainth, Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party Scheduled Castes Morcha. Despite taking panchayat land on lease in two villages of Patiala district, Bathoi Kala and Mandore, the district administration has failed miserably in getting them possession.
BJP leader Paramjit Kainth said that these poor families collect money among themselves and take land on contract for their cattle and farming. The high officials of the Panchayat Department and the Deputy Commissioner are suppressing the voice of getting them their rights due to political pressure, which will not be tolerated at any cost. BJP leader Kainth condemned the administration and said that one-third of the landless farmers of the Scheduled Castes have reserved Panchayat land, but the civil administration is crushing their constitutional rights with an attitude of fear and bias and the administration supports those who brutally attack the SC class and by registering false cases against them, they are deceived and harassed throughout the year and they are being forced to sit on dharnas and demonstrations. Scheduled Caste Morcha leader Paramjit Kainth appealed to the Chairman of the National Scheduled Caste Commission and the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court to take cognizance of such serious incidents and said that the rights of farmers from poor families of the Dalit class are being crushed by the civil administration of Patiala district.
