CHANDIGARH, 29.07.25-Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, President of the Chandigarh Traders Association, Sector 17, and Brand Ambassador of the Swachh Bharat Mission (MCC), has urged the citizens of Chandigarh to take a firm pledge to help make the city garbage-free.

He appealed to all residents to avoid littering on streets and roads, and to make proper use of dustbins. Panchhi also encouraged citizens to be vigilant and proactive: “If you see garbage dumped on roadsides, parks, or vacant plots in your area, don’t ignore it. Take a photo and send it to the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh at 9915762917 for immediate action.”
He emphasized that even a small individual effort can lead to a cleaner and healthier Chandigarh and contribute towards achieving the No. 1 rank in cleanliness in the future. "No single person can bring about change alone. We must unite as a community, strengthen our commitment, and work together to make Chandigarh a truly garbage-free city," he added.
