Chandigarh, 29.07.25- : Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated today at DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and the National Cadet Corps (NCC) wing. This day is dedicated to the memory of the extraordinary courage, bravery, and sacrifice displayed by the Indian Armed Forces during the Kargil War of 1999.

The program commenced with a tribute to the valiant martyrs of Kargil. This was followed by patriotic songs, poems, speeches, and a Tiranga (Tricolor) march by NSS and NCC volunteers. Students delivered emotional performances on the theme: “One Life – Dedicated to the Nation.”

On this occasion, the Principal of the college, Dr. Mona Narang, NSS Program Officers Dr. Kshama, Dr. Yogita, Dr. Raghav Khanna, NCC ANO Dr. Nikhilesh Thakur, Colonel Sunil Dutt Vashistha, NSS SLO Dr. Nemi Chand Golia, and My Bharat District Officer Mr. Vinay Kumar graced the event with their presence and guidance. Addressing the students, they inspired the youth to always remain dedicated to the service of the nation and to follow the ideals of the martyrs.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic and dignified presence of NSS and NCC volunteers, college staff, and a large number of students.
