The degrees awarded under both Distance and Online modes hold equal recognition with conventional degrees, as per the UGC’s notification F.No.3-5/2022(DEB-III) dated 02 September 2022. Furthering transparency and accountability in the admissions process, the UGC has mandated, through its notification dated 19 August 2024, that all students enrolling in Distance or Online programmes must first create a UGC-DEB ID.
