Chandigarh, May 11 - Haryana Education Minister Sh. Mahipal Dhanda has said that the talented youth of the country will play an important role in realizing the dream of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi to make India a developed nation by the year 2047.

Sh. Mahipal Dhanda was addressing the students and staff as the chief guest at the annual art exhibition award ceremony of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts, Rohtak today.

He said the students of the university have presented every subject in the art exhibition in detail. A wonderful exhibition has been presented here, on the basis of which it can be said that India will become a developed nation.

He said the university has been named after a great personality like Dada Lakhmi Chand, who has no match in the whole world.

He said the university administration will have to ensure that the students of the university get the benefit of their skills. Employment opportunities to the students who pass out from here must be ensured.

He said India has been the world leader in the past and will remain the world leader again. India's ideology is the best in the world. Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life.

After this, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda along with the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Shree Prakash Singh visited the stalls and took information on the displayed art works. Impressed by the artistic skills of the students, the minister appreciated their skills, attitude and professional thinking. On this occasion, 18 students were awarded prizes for their outstanding performance in the exhibition.

On this occasion, many dignitaries, including former minister Sh. Manish Grover, were present.

*CM Nayab Singh Saini meets newly elected members of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee in Chandigarh*

*State government will give full support to HSGPC to work for welfare of society: CM*

Chandigarh, May 11 – A delegation of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (HSGPC) met Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini at his residence here today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the newly elected members of the committee and said this is a historic moment for the Sikh community. For the first time after the formation of the present government for the third time, the elections of HSGPC have been conducted peacefully. This committee will play an important role in the operation and management of Sikh gurdwaras in the state.

It is noteworthy that earlier, 40 members of the committee were elected. Now, 9 other members have been unanimously chosen, many of whom came to meet the Chief Minister today. During the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed hope that the delegation will do the work of 'Guru Ghar' with transparency and selflessness. The Chief Minister assured that the state government will provide all possible support to the committee so that it can work in the interest of the society and establish a unique identity for itself. The Chief Minister said whatever work will be done for the Sikh community through this committee will become a source of inspiration for the coming generations.

The delegation also put forward some suggestions related to the Sikh community before the Chief Minister, to which the Chief Minister responded positively and promised to fulfil them.

Speaking on the issue of water, the Chief Minister said Punjab and Haryana are bound by the bond of brotherhood. We are all one. The Mann government of Punjab should not do politics on an issue like water. The water on which Haryana has a right should be given to it. He said there should be equal distribution of water in accordance with the teachings of the Gurus, so that everyone can get its benefit.

Senior representatives of the Sikh community, namely Sh. Jagdish Singh Jhinda, Sh. Baljit Singh Daduwal, Sh. Gulab Singh Munak, along with Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sh. Tarun Bhandari, and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

*Health Department cancels leave of all officers, employees in view of security situation*

*Service to people of state is paramount: Health Minister Arti Singh Rao*

Chandigarh, May 11 – Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao has directed the state Health Department to exercise special caution in view of the current situation arising on the India-Pakistan border and the incidents of repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan. In this regard, as per the order of the Health Minister, the Director General, Health Services Haryana has issued a strict order to all the civil surgeons and chief medical officers of the state.

The order states that all types of leaves of all health officers and employees of the state – be it Earned Leave (EL), Child Care Leave (CCL), Extraordinary Leave (EOL) or any other type of leave – have been cancelled with immediate effect. It has also been clearly directed that no officer or employee will leave the headquarters of his district nor go on leave.

The order also mentions that the officers/employees who are currently on leave will have to immediately report to their respective district headquarters and resume work. Departmental disciplinary action will be taken against those who violate the orders.

Arti Singh Rao said, “In view of the emergency situation arising on the border, it has become necessary that the Health Department works on full alert mode. The presence of all officers and employees is mandatory so that health services are not disrupted in any unforeseen situation. Service to the people of the state is paramount, and at this time, the department needs to work in unity.”

The state government has also given instructions to ensure the availability of necessary resources in all hospitals and primary health centres at the district level. Control rooms have been activated to monitor emergency medicines, blood storage, ambulance services and deployment of medical staff. The Health Department is fully prepared to deal with any situation.

The Health Minister has assured that the state government is keeping a close watch on the situation and additional measures will also be taken if needed. The general public has been appealed to avoid rumours and contact local health centres for any kind of healthcare related problem.

The minister said these instructions have been issued temporarily keeping in mind the security situation of the state and these can be changed according to the circumstances. The priority of the department is to provide timely medical facilities to the people and any kind of negligence in this will not be tolerated.
