CHANDIGARH, 06.05.25-The Library of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), conducted a ‘User Awareness Programme on NDLI and NDLI Club’. The event was conducted in hybrid mode, with participants joining both physically at the college campus and virtually via Google Meet. Around 60 attendees, including students and faculty members, participated in the session.

Mr. Suman Panja, a representative from the NDLI Club, IIT Kharagpur, was the resource person. He provided a comprehensive overview of the NDLI and NDLI Club, highlighting their significance as flagship initiatives under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The key topics covered in the programme were introduction to NDLI, registration, navigation, content access on the NDLI platform and its planned activities, procedure to generate Event Participation Certificates, and academic and research benefits of utilising NDLI’s digital repository.

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma lauded the Library Committee for holding this programme that aligns with the Digital India Mission, emphasising the role of digital tools in enhancing learning outcomes. She informed that the college has officially registered with NDLI and NDLI Club, thereby highlighting the college’s commitment to fostering digital literacy among students and faculty.
