Sonipat, 17 October 2023-A cross-country bike expedition of CRPF with "Yashaswini", a group of CRPF women bikers in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, reached Sonipat today. This expedition had started from 3rd October.

Today CRPF Inspector General NWS, Shri Jasbir Singh Sandhu while addressing the team members said that this campaign will prove to be a milestone in women empowerment. He said that such a campaign will encourage women to join the army and paramilitary forces.

Shri Sandhu said that the steps taken by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the field of women empowerment have greatly improved the direction and condition of women. On this occasion, Shri Sandhu praised the women bikers and encouraged them.

This evening the bikers rally reached Rukmini Devi School, which was welcomed by Smt. Anita Garg Chairperson of the school. She said that the women of India are not behind in any field. Such programs will provide more encouragement to women. On this occasion, a colorful cultural program was presented by the school and CRPF Sonipat on the theme of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”, which was highly liked by all the women and spectators of the bike rally.

The highlight of the program was the women's pipe band of CRPF that mesmerized the audience by playing melodious tunes.
On this occasion, Shri Mahendra Kumar, Deputy Inspector General, Range Sonipat and Shri Komal Singh, Deputy Inspector General, Group Center Sonipat, Principal Dr. Praveen Gupta and other dignitaries were present.

After this program, the rally proceeded towards CRPF Group Center located in Sonipat. This bikers rally will leave for Gurgaon on 18th October. These biker teams started their journey from Srinagar, Shillong and Kanyakumari. After covering a distance of approximately 10,000 km, all the bikers will converge at the Statue of Unity, Ekta Nagar, Gujarat on October 31, 2023.
