MAHENDERGARH, 30.10.25-“To be ready for Viksit Bharat towards 2047, we must adopt an environment-friendly focused approach inspired by Needonomics,” emphasized Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Vice-Chancellor (thrice), Propounder Needonomics School of Thought and Superannuated Professor of Kurukshetra University . Today, he was delivering the guest lecture at the School of Business and Management Studies, Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh on “Relevance of Needonomics for Viksit Bharat”. The Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, welcomed Prof. Madan Mohan Goel. He said that the topic presented by Prof. Goel is extremely important and will certainly benefit the students.
Prof. Ranjan Aneja Dean School of Business and Management Studies delivered the Welcome addresss and introduced Prof M.M.Goel. Prof Anand Sharma Department of Management Studies explained about the topic. Vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Payal Kanwar Chandel, Dean school of Social Sciences Prof. A. P. Sharma; Prof. Sushila. HoD Commerce; Prof. Amandeep, HoD Economics and Prof. Anand Sharma were present on the occasion.
Prof. Madam Mohan Goel elaborated on the importance of needo-behaviour in economic activities such as consumption, saving, production, investment, and distribution, coupled with needo-trade for glocalization – thinking globally and acting locally. “To become a hub of needo-exports, Viksit Bharat must adopt the NAW approach – Need, Affordability, and Worth – in marketing, driven by needo-consumption,” he asserted. Prof. Goel emphasized the triad of needo-wealth, needo-health, and needo-happiness as pillars for the vision of Viksit Bharat.
Highlighting the role of needo-altruism, Prof. Goel said, “We must internalize the spirit of Not Me but You from the NSS motto and strive to earn more than we spend, becoming instruments of empowerment for others.” He called for behavioural transformation among all stakeholders – consumers, producers, distributors, traders, policymakers, and politicians – to overcome what he termed as “illness in economic behaviour.”

Concluding his address, Prof. Goel urged everyone to become street SMART – Simple, Moral, Action-oriented, Responsive, and Transparent – and to adopt Needonomics as a common-sense approach for achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
