Chandigarh, 29.10.25-. A cultural program was organized at Maharshi Dayanand Public School, MDAV Bhawan, Dariya, Chandigarh, in honour of Sushma Malhotra, founder and renowned poet of Nirmal Roshan Sahitya Manch, and Dr. Ved Vyas Malhotra, coordinator of the organization, who visited from New Jersey, USA. K.K. Sharda, Prem Vij, Prof. Gurdeep Gul, Surjeet Singh Dhir, Ganesh Dutt, Dr. Sangeeta Sharma Kundra Geet, Amrit Soni, Raj Vij, NRI Sudarshan Garg, Dr. Vinod Kumar Sharma, and Dr. Anju Modgil attended.
A band group gave a grand welcome to the two guests at the school's main entrance. They escorted them to the Smt. Sikandra Devi Multimedia Hall. Stage host Kiran Prabha introduced all the dignitaries present. The school management committee honored Sushma Malhotra and Dr. Ved Vyas Malhotra with a bouquet of flowers, a robe, and a memento.
. The students mesmerized everyone with their dhol garba accompanied by nagada. The presentation of "Vijayi Bhava" filled everyone with enthusiasm. A play was presented to raise awareness about the negative impact of social media on students and parents. Several children read verses from Sushma Malhotra's book "Thodi Si Dhoop Mein."
Sushma Malhotra praised the school students, saying that the quality education being provided in rural areas is commendable. She shared her thoughts on Indian culture and Hindi literature.
All the guests were honored by the school management committee.
NRI Sudarshan Garg served refreshments to all the guests and students participating in the program.
